Lorena: The kids are SO adorable!!! They're growing up! I'm sorry the dress got torn. I hope you can repair it and/or that it didn't cost too much. I'm sorry that your group did that. I bet that store felt awkward to make those changes too. Is this the last (group) presentation?
Last day of preschool for Mr. T today. They were having an ice cream social. Two more school days for D. I'll soon have a 2nd grader and one in Kinder. That happened fast!

Lorena- The kids are so cute. S looks so much like his daddy!
Donna- Glad the leg is ok... hopefully E will believe you soon!
Laura- Ridiculous they haven't gotten back to you! Put it in writing and an expected date you need to hear from them by.
Happy end of school to everyone's kiddos finishing up!
Oy, summer is here. It's getting toasty!

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!! |
|
|
I heard from school today, they aren't going to do anything. My only option is to send Nathan back to school on the same bus with the same driver. They will make sure the two boys are seperated. A supervisor is supposed to ride the bus for a week but since the supervisor is the same one who hangs up on me I don't think it will do much good. So upset that's my only option. They said they could try to find home therapists but it might take a while. The problem is that Nathan really needs therapy with other kids, they motivate him to try new things. So angry and sad. Nathan and I have been having a lot of talks about bullying and what is and isn't appropriate to say and do. Also, what to do if someone makes him sad or hits him. Ugh, and he's only 4!

Laura~ Seriously??? I'd definatly keep open communication with Nathan so that he can tell you immediately if someone is being mean to him again. (If you send him back) Lauren~ Definately getting a bit toasty! The great thing is that we've not had humidity with our heat! Doesn't seem like swimsuit time again, but here we are..... Lindsay~ Yay for summer for the boys! Ansley already enjoying her summer break.....the whole one day of it!! All packing with the exception of last minute stuff is DONE!! Tomorrow I'm going to finish up my room and relax! (or help others who aren't finished yet) Wanna come to my neck of the woods for a girls night out??!!

Laura- That is absolutely ridiculous. I mean really truly ridiculous... isn't the bus service part of his SpEd program?

Tracy - Yay for almost being done. I'd so LOVE a weekend with my girls. It's been a rough couple of weeks.
Laura - I'm absolutely speechless. I'd definitely put it in writing that this is unacceptable, etc, and what your expectations are. That young college student who's roommate committed suicide got 30 days in prison, and community service for his bullying role? They have an absolute duty to protect Nathan.
Lindsay - Happy last days of school!! It does fly by so quickly.
Lorena - Absolutely beautiful photo, beautiful children.
12 more days of school here, including today. I'm more ready for summer this year than ever.

Tracy-I am so jealous that you are done! We have until June 6th. I am so sorry that the school is closing, so many memories there.
Donna-I am so ready for summer, I have enough time saved up that I have considered taking the rest of the year off!!!
Laura-I am sickened over this, this is disgusting. How can a school allow this to happen?
Lorena-Your kids are adorable!
I am so busy with all of this end of the year stuff! The kids are juts now realizing that they are failing!!!! I am so excited to go to Vegas on June 8th, Happy Birthday to me!!!!

Oh heck yeah Katie~ Take the rest of the year off. I say that, but would never do it myself.....too much trouble to leave the stuff especially this time of year. I'm all packed! My classroom is empty except for the boxes and furniture. I am so sad..... Today instead of say, "enjoy your summer" like we do every year, we were saying "goodbye, it was great working with you". UGH!!!

Hello, hello, hello...
Summer's here. It's hot. I've had T outside all day, every day. We are staining her swingset(wood), our deck, and our shed ramp, doing all sorts of landscaping, and anything else that doesn't cost us money....why you ask? Mike got laid off. Totally not good. This has happened before(2008), the only positive is they(his work) bring's them in once a week to keep health benefits. In my own selfish mind thought, first thing to come to my mind....We will not be going to Disney. I will not be going to SU and I am nearly devestated. I know, I know, I'm a whiner, debbie downer, and yick. Aside from that, we have to cut back on everything. We have savings, which will get depleted. But, I'm hoping things will be ok.

Liz~ I'm sorry that the job situation for your hubby is not good. That stinks!!! Maybe he'll be able to get back to work sooner than later and the trips will still be in the making. Today's my first day off for summer and I feel like it's just Monday, when I'm off anyway. My house is a total wreck so I'm hoping to get that motivation fairy this way sometime today. Tibbles has had a bath already so that's good, but as you can see....my butt found the couch already.

Helllllllloooooooo????? You girls are so chatty when I'm working and now that I'm off, it's quiet in here! What gives?? I know when I get busy with something the conversation will pick up.... Major issue at our house----LOST REMOTE!! I know, back in the day we changed the channel for exercise all the time, but that was before satellite offered a million channels. I've even checked the fridge....it's nowhere to be found. Guess the motivation fairy has a sense of humor....if that ain't motivation, I don't know what is.

Oh no Tracy! That's complete disaster!!!
Sorry - I had a busy day today, and a busy night ahead. Thought I would just pop in quickly.
Liz - So sorry to hear about your husband's job. That stinks.
Dinostars tonight (2nd grade musical) for Ethan tonight, baseball game for Ryley tonight (they start at the same time - why is it always that way?), and then the season premier of SYTYCD. I'm a happy girl at the moment. Still no sign of our cat. So incredibly sad about that. But we have a line on a kitten (two of them actually). I just don't know that I'm ready to give up on the hope of Toby coming home.

I have no idea what those initials stand for... Oooh Oooh Oooh wait... ok... I got it. That took a ridiculously long time. Donna- So sorry about Toby! I missed that. Hope he comes home. Tracy- That made me laugh. Darn comical motivation fairy. Failed my 1 hour glucose test. Seriously? At this point, I don't think there will be a pregnancy related test that I haven't done. Heard on the radio this morning our health insurance company posted a profit... wonder how much more it would have been if they didn't cover me!

Tracy: Haha! Have you found the remote yet? That's like end of world stuff!
Lauren: Booo on the glucose test!!
So hopefully back into the real world. Trying to get caught up on everything, I'm hopelessly behind on my emails and Share stuff. Flying to Philly tomorrow for vacation! May have to stay up late at night to get everything done because I know me and Kait are going to be up to all hours talking!

Liz - I just saw your post. I am so sorry. I hope that old saying about "when one door closes, another one opens" is right. Hugs! Lauren - Hopefully the glucose test was a fluke and you'll pass the next one. Donna - So sorry about your cat. Hopefully he comes back soon and was just off somewhere blowing off some cat steam. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Well, only 11.5 days of school left - I'm anxious for summer to begin but I also know the kids will drive me crazy once it begins. I love them to death but they are not good "Self entertainers" and I constantly have to come up with activities to do. I'd love just once day where my kids are happy to plop down in front of the TV and just sit there! (I know, Mommy of the Year award here I come!)

Stacy - Safe travels!!!
Lauren - Seriously? Ugh - so now do you have to do the three hour?
Jackie - My kids didn't even realize there were buttons on the actual tv they could use to turn it on/off and change channels. Heck, they didn't know you could open the car door with an actual key as opposed to the remote. Kinda scary. As for Summer entertainment....good luck. It does get a little bit easier. My kids have to read an hour a day, and play outside for two hours before they get any technology. I know - I'm a mean mom. We're usually at the beach, at someone's pool, or in the yard hanging out with the neighborhood kids.
Still no Toby. How long do you wait before giving up hope?
Ethan rocked his musical last night. I got all teary-eyed at the end. He was just so happy up there, singing and dancing. Why can't he be that happy all the time? And Ryley's team lost their game last night, but Ry made two amazing plays. I literally yelled, "That's my kid!!!" I was so proud.

No remote yet...... Yes, really! Donna~ Glad your kiddos shined last night!! Maybe E. would enjoy a performing arts school!! Surely, ya'll have one of those nearby.... Stacy~ Enjoy your trip!! Catching up with old friends until the wee hours....always great! Lauren~ UGH!!! I failed my first one too....then they did the 3 hour one and came into the OR to tell me that I passed that one. Really??? Needless to say, I rolled my eyes!!! (So did my dr.!) Good luck on round two!! My poor child is growing so fast that she has very few clothes that she can wear!! I took her to shop for a while this morning and spent WAY too much money. Yes, I got a couple of things too, but I still don't think she has clothing to last her into the next school year. (You know we wear shorts here until October!! ) It's FRIDAY!!!!!!!

We made it! Elim did ok on the first flight, got a little fussy but nothing too bad. He was exhausted and fell asleep five minutes before boarding for the second flight and woke up 30 minutes before we went in for landing! We kept him occupied with food. He's such a little ham over here. Going to my friend's house tomorrow, I can't wait to see her again! Staying at her mom's house tonight.
Hopefully Shannon and I can get together on Sunday, fingers crossed my friend is up for an adventure!

It's so hot, I feel like crap. T and I have been outside all day, gardening, sidewalk chalking, playing on her jungle gym and sand box. She is sleeping, now. I am sitting on top of the AC vent because it is so hot. 90ish. I broke a nail down so far today, my heart beat is pulsating in my finger tip. Booo.

Yeah - I'm pretty strict when it comes to the electronic stuff. Two of the three are pretty good about getting outside. Ethan will flat out say "I'm not much of an outdoors kid Mom." Lauren - Miss you!! Last regular-season baseball game for Ryley today. They won 10-0. Yay!!! Now we have city tournament. Wine night out with a few other moms from school tonight. So need this. Geri - I've got 4 of 6! Hmm, Santa's Village though. Got to go back and read.
Liz - You've probably got the humidity there. Hope you're staying cool. I'm really sorry to hear about your hubby's job. I hope there is something coming around the corner. I know that's super stressful. Sorry to hear about your nail/finger. Ouch!
Lauren - When do you get results from the 3-hour one? You being seen weekly?
Stacy - Gald to know that your travels are safe and sounds like you're off again. Happy visits!
Donna - Sorry to hear about your kitty. Does your houe back up to a canyon? Congrats on game victory!!! Yum, wine night:)
Jackie - Hope your final days of school go well for your kiddos. I feel the same way sometimes about the whole self-entertaining. I'm much better at video games as an adult than ever before:)
Tracy - In the cereal box?! I bet you had a laugh! I tend to panic when I can't find my remote. Trying to get into a habit of leaving it in the same spot.
Friday was the last day of school for staff. Usually hubby and I are tag teaming it with the kids to get check out signatures, etc. This time, all was done and handled. Had a friend and her son over for a li'l BBQ action and pool time. It was nice. Got my words out. Hubby loves that! I hadn't checked school e-mail in a few days. Hadn't planned on it since I'm getting riffed. Well, Principal says she might have a section or two afterall. Hmm, interesting . . . maybe I don't have to apply for that library assistant job afterall:) We'll see . . . isn't it always that way?!
