Lorena - I'm glad to hear that the interview went well and that you can choose your own schedule:) I bet you're having fun with the new interior house color and your project on "the chair" sounds really interesting:)
Lauren - I hadn't heard it either. I want a re-do too.
Katie - It's always fun to see people get really into it and dress up. My husband is already talking about Phoenix Comicon. Yikes! Apparently it's supposed to be a big Star Trek reunion this year . . . Hey, as long as they make Thor 2 and his shirt is off, I'm in:) That Aussie was on the View yesterday - going to be a daddy for the first time real soon.

We went to see the Avengers yesterday... no fun dress up to be seen, but it was fun none the less. I love those kinds of movies, such fun.
Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend. We started ours with an early Mommy's day gift for my mom at the Lavender Farm... where a very handsome gardener heard my sob story of killing my Australian Tea Trees and gave me a cutting of his. Thank you Harrison the Hottie.

Lauren - Hahahahaha...that's true. Okay, reinstituting hot cabana boys. Maestro Harrison- Mimosas all around (alcohol free for the preggers in the group!). Lorena - You'll be great at the new job. Nice that it's flexible. Katie - looks like the tournament went well yesterday. Where will you put all those trophies? Lindsay - lol Hot Aussies.....mmmmmmm I survived the poker tournament!!! We of course had no-shows, but still had over 60 people here, 47 playing poker, which is the most yet. Raised $2620 in one night!! Wahoo!! I made people cry, but managed to get through it myself. Ryley was here, and got his own round of applause. You should have seen his face. He was not in a great mood - he pitched in his game yesterday, struggled a bit, and they lost. Poor guy. But last night was awesome. Lots of new people. And would you believe we already have the house almost completely put back together? Michael did a ton before I got up this morning, thankfully.

You know things have been so stressful that I didn't even know what Avengers was until ya'll mentioned it here. Afterwards, I saw it advertise on TV, but that's pretty bad..... The sun's bright out from under this rock!! Lauren~ Can I be jealous of your beach and water day???? Ansley went to the lake with her dad and his friend, but I occupied the couch. Not exactly the fun-filled relaxing day that you had. Thanks for the congrats girls! Anyone wanna come help me pack?? .......AGAIN!!! I'm going to be a professional packer by the time the next 14 years are over!

We drove down to Pennsylvania to see my cousin graduate from Penn State (or Pencil State as Nathan called it all weekend). It was a nice weekend but there were 18 people staying in the same house. 6 just in the room I was sleeping in: myself, my sister, both parents and both my boys - it was wall to wall people. We had a good time though, but I am glad it's over.

Stacy- Yeah, it's all a work in progress. Our angel avenue and family team tent gets better every year. Donna- No way... middle school? That's insane! Lindsay- Go get 'em momma bear! Katie- Yeah, not sure about making an extra activity for Teacher Appreciation... thought that counts... but always seemed to me working in schools that just giving free time is the best gift ever! Lance is sure to get choke food at work this week (a nurse), though when I told him he was bummed because he says the pharmaceutical companies and reps give the best food and gifts and this week it will probably just be from the state run hospital and doctors... ungrateful! I'm sure there is a Social Worker's Day and I'm sure I've never gotten anything on it!

Well, Lauren, begging for an iphone appears to be pretty simple and I must say he is successful in getting to play with mine a lot! (He just begs to play luckily, not to get his own... although he asks for one for every birthday and holiday we come to.) Here is the text in his book (and yes, spelling is something we need to work on): Page 1: "Frst ask fo ifon, if it dus not wuk ask ugen."
includes a drawing of him asking "Can i play ifon" Page 2: "Ask ugen and ugen"
includes a drawing of him saying "cen i ples, can i ples" Last page: "Cep asking itil she ses yes" along with a picture of what is presumably an iphone. So stinking cute LOL Enjoy your island hopping! I just came home from grocery shopping only to find that a bird flew in the house while I was unloading groceries. Luckily I was able to open the window next to him and get him to fly out so it was not super dramatic, but ugh! Not what I needed today! At least it's nice and I'm headed out for a run...

Speaking of.....I'll be eating some of that a week from tomorrow! Safe travels! A leaf......? Gonna go google Laura: Go Nathan!! Grilled cheese is always a hit with kids, they can't resist! Awesome steps forward! Jessica: Wow, 19 weeks already?! Whatcha doing on June 2? Want to meet for lunch in little Italy? Maybe Geri and Dawn too if they're around. I'd love to meet Maddie! Jackie: HAHA!! That's the cutest book ever! Reframe: At least the bird didn't poo in your house? I would seriously pay someone to come and do my laundry and dishes. I hate those chores, they're neverending! The moms club I'm in has nominated me for president and administrative vice president. Um....gee, no thanks! I've got enough to do right now especially with Charles being out of town soon!

Ha ha ha, I liked Stacy's reframe that the bird didn't poop in your house!
Today the president (Obama) was in town for some stupid speech. Now, I have no feelings one way or the other about him (I'm not political at all) but TONS of roads were closed around us for "security reasons" and because of that and that we live super close to the airport, Nathan was over an hour late getting home from school. He told me he didn't think he would ever get off the bus. He was on it for 1:45 - wayyy to long for a little kid.
Lauren I'm going to have to google a Leaf, now I'm curious. Hope you had fun island hopping.
OK, I'm off to go rescue the cat from Trevor
