I love my kids!

I had to laugh at the toilet seat.....hahahahha

Donna S - May 1, 2012 4:05 pm (#6 Total: 236)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Right? Who puts round AND oblong toilet seats in the same house? I was so annoyed! But in perspective, it is kinda funny. Michael was laughing last night when he installed it. I wanted to chuck the dang thing at his head. But I'm giggling about it this morning (until I have to go to the store and exchange it).

NathansMom13 - May 1, 2012 8:21 pm (#7 Total: 236)

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!!

Finally have some free time to catch up, our walk is over. Sunday was the walk, it was nice for a chance. Usually it rains and rains but this year it was just windy which I would rather than rain. It's nice to have some free time again - I miss all of you!

stacyat - May 1, 2012 9:13 pm (#8 Total: 236)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Love the new cafe with all the little cherry blossoms up top!

Katie: Aww, that's so cool you get to bring her to work today!

Liz: Ack, hate it when you forget what day it is and get behind!

Donna: Our living room has leopard spots too after our landlord used touch up paint too. It was the paint they did the original walls with and that doesn't match either I guess after a couple of years of grime. Ugh, hope today is better.

No tornadoes around here, it was looking bad but the storms kind of died out thankfully. Did all our running around today, returned the table and chairs we rented for the cookout, ran home to grab my razor and tub for detergent, got the detergent refilled, got a bag for the carseat, then to the mall for shoes for Elim for our pictures and some makeup. Then came to my parents house and went to lunch then grabbed a couple of cupcakes and now back home with Elim taking another nap! Going to ladies night tonight and the parents are babysitting Elim!

lvazquez - May 1, 2012 10:59 pm (#9 Total: 236)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Lauren - Loving the new May cafe. So sweet:)

Katie - Hope all went well at school.

Stacy - Oh Ladies Night! Have fun! I'm not a super couponer person, but I live near 3 grocery stores, so I tend to shop the store deals. I've only been doing that the last 2 years or so. I have the time too I guess or I make the time. There is that tickle of excitement when you've got a couple of items on sale in your cart PLUS awesome coupons that you've been hoarding until the expiration date:)

Liz - Better get reading girl! Have a nice night.

Donna - Sorry about the paint not matching up and the toilet seat mishap. Hopefully you can do a quick return. Any chance you can return the paint and give the employee's name who said it would totally match? Speaking of toilet seats, we recently got another one of those toilet seats where the lid automatically closes with a little push. They're plastic and really quiet. Great for anyone with a penis. Good thing I never went into advertising:)

Alright, I've had way too much coffee today. I need to calm down. I'm off to create dinner and plan for my substitute.

Donna S - May 1, 2012 11:05 pm (#10 Total: 236)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Stacy - Your days are sounding like mine!! Yay for ladies night and so glad the tornadoes stayed away.

Lindsay - That's exactly the new-new toilet seat I bought today. Can you send some of that energy this way?

Laura - Miss you too!!

Well, the paint should technically match, but given the paint already on the walls is about six years old, I guess you get what you get. The whole downstairs needs to be completely repainted (except the dining room and now playroom), but that's so not happening before Saturday. I'm getting smarter though...I made my days easier as far as errands and tasks go the closer we get to the tournament itself. It only took seven years to figure that one out. LOL

KHolley - May 1, 2012 11:24 pm (#11 Total: 236)

Lindsay-That toilet seat thing made me laugh out loud, we have one of those self closing ones!

Donna-I hope that you are able to get everything done that you need to! Hey, just give the list to Laura, she have it spreadsheeted in minutes!!!!

Alex had a great day at school today, took a nap in the guidance counselor's office!!! We are home and relaxing before we are off to another tournament this weekend!

Angel Love - May 2, 2012 1:08 am (#12 Total: 236)

Holy cow!!! I'm so laughing my head off at the penis comment!!! That's the best advertisement for those seats I've ever heard!!! Go Lindsay!!!!

Donna~ It's completely hilarious that the wrong shape happened on purchase #1. That's totally something that would happen to me.

Lauren~ Love the new cafe'! You always swear you have no ideas, but come up with amazing things every month!! Thanks girl!!

A friend of mine was having a baby shower at her school today. I was going to get her something and send it by another friend. I stopped and looked at some cute things yesterday for her and decided I had plenty of time to pick of something later.....um yeah---it's May already!!! Guess I'll go visit when the baby gets here and take a gift then. Oops!

stacyat - May 2, 2012 3:39 am (#13 Total: 236)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Lindsay: The commissary usually has the best deals around so we usually shop there, makes it easy for us. Though I do love finding a good coupon at the perfect time!

Donna: Ugh on having to repaint all that, I hate painting and avoid it at all costs!

Tracy: Haha, oops!! I'm guilty of doing the same.

Had a great time at ladies night tonight! Some yummy food and even a nice adult beverage! Elim did great with my parents, even let my mom brush his teeth willingly! The little stink fights me and I have to hold him down to get it done.

liz loschinskey - May 2, 2012 11:47 am (#14 Total: 236)

I love my kids!

Dear Hallmark,

Thanks for making me cry at 7:41a with your new mothers day commercial.

Not a good sign. We were talking May Day yesterday, I feel like screaming it and screaming, stop the month of May!

Again, I'm having a pity party for myself, with myself. Ha(sarcasm)!

Lindsay, you make me laugh.
Donna, I still laugh about the toilet seat.
Laura, have a safe trip to PennState!
Stacy, glad the storms missed you!

bbl...

Whosures - May 2, 2012 11:57 am (#15 Total: 236)

Usually I just stalk the cafe but I decided to pop on and say hello and I miss all of you!

Liz, what's the commercial about?

We had some tornado watches in the area, but just had heavy storms.

Madisons mom - May 2, 2012 2:28 pm (#16 Total: 236)

proud to be the mom of this little fighter

Julie.....miss ya girlie...was thinking of you the other day while I was admiring my tulips from SU 2 years ago...they are still beautiuful xoxo

Glad the storms missed yas...scary.

Our walk is over. We had an incredible day. We were supposed to have rain all day but nope...blue skies...yeah!!!
Our tent was beautiful as always and we were able to meet lots of new families and hoping they will continue to stay with us for our other events. Needed to recoop for a few days afterwards....it was a looong weekend. Two communion parties and the walk on Sunday...equals one pooped preggo . How was everyones walk?

liz loschinskey - May 2, 2012 6:56 pm (#17 Total: 236)

I love my kids!

Julie, delight to see you in these parts. The commercial was honoring mothers in several different aspects. Mothers saying they will do anything for their kids...tear jerker.

Jess, I'm glad your walk went well. Ours was fantastic, too!

Okay, 2 things I hate about the gym. The first I just realized today and was completely mortified. I sweat at the gym. My yoga pants absorb sweat, but don't hide the sweat. So, today, I catch myself in the mirror and it looked like I pee'ed myself due to sweat. I can't tell you how many times I have worn these pants and then gone to the post office, grocery store, run errands. Complete embarrassment.
#2-Look dudes, I wear deodorant for a reason. Today I experienced the worst stench radiating from the man next to me on the treadmills. Put some deodorant on, or change brands because what you are using isn't working.

So beautiful out, bbl...

lvazquez - May 3, 2012 4:01 pm (#18 Total: 236)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Liz - Oh my, the gym. Oh , the smells:) You're so good for going though. I'll have to keep my eye out for that commercial.

I was watching Right This Minute yesterday and they showed a clip of a special needs kiddo getting hit on a school bus while two aides were trying to put a seatbelt or "something" on him. It made me completely ANGRY!!! Earlier this week (Tuesday), I walked Mr. T into his classroom at his developmental preschool. One of the activities was PlayDo. The teacher was by herself with almost the entire class. FYI - she seems flustered and not really ready for her afternoon group. Anyway, a kiddo was throwing the playDo on the floor. She gave a warning and he did it again. GRABBED him by the wrist and said that he was done. I wasn't comfortable with that. It's the grabbing tightly and the tone that I don't appreciate. I actually stayed in the room until another aide came back with the last bus group:( Two more weeks of developmental preschool . . .

NathansMom13 - May 3, 2012 5:38 pm (#19 Total: 236)

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!!

Liz, I think the same thing of other people at the gym. There is one guy who ALWAYS smells. It's to the point now where if he gets on the treadmill next to me I'll move so I don't have to smell him. Also, I sweat BAD at the gym. I looked at myself today and I was a sight

Jess, in my attempt to be more like you I started a family team tent at our walk this year. It was pretty good, but not exactly what I had wanted. There was a lot of wind that kept knocking things over. Hopefully it will be better next year. I did manage to give out a few Share flyers to some new angel mom's so that's a small win for me

OK, I'm off to go politely remind Trevor that it's nap time not "lay in your bed screaming" time.

Madisons mom - May 3, 2012 7:30 pm (#20 Total: 236)

proud to be the mom of this little fighter

Laura...Yeah for the tent!!! Our first few tents stunk to...you'll get it and every year you build on it. We save our stuff every year so not that much to do each year. We also decorate by telling every family to bring a board filled with pictures and a little about there story so when people walk around they all see it.
Every year we also do another 2 boards of pictures tightly squeezed together of all the events we did this year...hoping to have each wall of the tent covered soon. So much fun. Lots of work but worth it.
Gotta say this years tent was pretty awesome. I'll post some pics as soon as I get them. xxo

Madisons mom - May 3, 2012 7:31 pm (#21 Total: 236)

proud to be the mom of this little fighter

As for they gym...I HATE to sweat...reason why I'm fat lol....Keith gets mad at me and says thats the whole point of excersise...just hate it. yuck.

liz loschinskey - May 3, 2012 8:42 pm (#22 Total: 236)

I love my kids!

Lindsay, someone grabs my kid like that, they are in for it. I'm suprised they left her by herself even if it's for a moment. Also, you would think she would tone her tude down with a parent in the room. It is developmental preschool, after all. OOOOh, so what, he threw some playdoh on the ground. I'd be very uneasy about that, too.

Laura, I'm glad your family tent went good, minus the wind. As for the gym...I'm trying to vent my frustrations out in other ways other than yelling at my husband or crying. Gym it is!

Jess, hello?! Have you seen my fat A$%? The jiggle to my wiggle? lol, my husband tells me the same. This coming from a man who weighs 150 soaking wet can bite me.
Maybe next year I will venture into tentdom (Tent kingdom) during our walk. ps-I hate sweat, too. But I must be doing something right if I'm sweating, right?!

Stressful (for me)day at Children's...It was a blog kind of day. It's so freaking hot outside....Humid hot. Yuck! We had storms move through for about 2 hours last night, if it wasn't the dog whining and crying, it was Tori, and of course Mike worked 10pm-8am...Sigh.

bbl...

stacyat - May 3, 2012 11:30 pm (#23 Total: 236)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Liz: Huge hugs! Haha, yeah, I'd be totally embarrassed after noticing that too, and mad no one ever told me! Though I don't think I'd walk up to a stranger to tell them it looks like they just peed your pants.

Julie: Hey! Nice to see you in here!

Lindsay: Oh wow, that's horrible for that child on the bus

Laura: Go you, that's awesome you got the word out to some new moms!

Big day for Mr. Elim! He's got his first molar thinking about popping through, learned how to climb up on our dining room chairs and scarfed down part of a stolen cupcake! I also am working on getting him to sleep through the night finally, we'll see how it goes.

liz loschinskey - May 4, 2012 11:58 am (#24 Total: 236)

Dear hallmark,

Here's that commercial I've been crying about for no reason.

If that doesn't work google "Hallmark mothers day commercial tell me"

Donna S - May 4, 2012 3:04 pm (#25 Total: 236)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

You girls have been chatty!

Julie!!!!!! Miss you so much girlie! I could really use a Julie story right about now.

Liz - commercials like that slay me. Hugs on the Childrens visit. I sweat like a pig at the gym too, and will move away from stinky people. Just because you're going to work out doesn't mean you don't need deoderant - a difficult concept for people to get. Oy.

Stacy - Wahoo for the molar! You have one true boy on your hands. So stinkin cute.

Lindsay - Ugh. Hope the two weeks go by quickly without any drama. Some people just don't know how to handle kids, much less high needs kids.

I am freaking out completely. The tournament went from under 30 to over 70 people in a week. Started thinking last night, when I should have been sleeping, about what I want to say this year. Got all choked up. Why does that happen? Good golly - he's 11. I should be able to think and talk about his story without bawling like a baby, shouldn't I? Wish me luck - running around like a madwoman again today, then getting the other panel of my sliding door curtains done (hopefully). But please don't ask me to do any curtains for any of you....mine are so NOT perfect, and are very basic. But I do like them, and I'm proud of me!

lvazquez - May 4, 2012 4:24 pm (#26 Total: 236)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Liz - Sorry for the stressful day at Children's . . . I will check out that link, but I know I'll cry, so I'm going to save it for a later time when I'm alone. Going to try and get some house stuff done and not be an emotional wreck for once. It's sort of funny to walk into a room and your kiddo does a double take because your face is SO red from crying.

Stacy - Yay for the toofer coming in. Solid foods, solid foods, he starting solid food:) Yum, puffs!

Donna - Hey, I was up late too! Grading though. Yuck. All caught up thank goodness. Yay for you on those curtain AND you've now got 70 people?! That's fantastic! You'll find your words. You have a great way with them:)

Just house stuff, maybe some pool time today, kids movie tomorrow with SARRC, and . . . Nana's house. The last one makes me want to start drinking now, but if we see them this weekend, then we don't have to for a few weeks. They're going out-of-town. Hubby finds out if he'll get a summer teaching position next week. Oh, that would surely help if he does. Yup, two more weeks with some early release days.

Akeelah's Mommy - May 4, 2012 5:26 pm (#27 Total: 236)

Liz: I would see that commercial later, I cry for everything, the bad thing is that my eyes stay all bulky and red for hours, so I am total mess.... I like to cry privately........

Lindsay: Wow that teacher, imagine if she/he that with you in the room, what is she/he able to do without a parent?? Me too, I still cry when I tell S story..... and that was also almost 11 years ago.... it will always mark us I think..... but in a way, not like those people that can't get over things, and just talk about the same thing, over and over......Good luck tomorrow for your poker tournament ........

Lauren: also good Friday for you and Mr. lovely sweet Micah.....

I just need to share this: MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOUUU!!! hahaha

KHolley - May 5, 2012 12:18 am (#30 Total: 236)

Lorena-I have been hearing that from my students all day today!!! Hard to believe that they know what Star Wars is!!!

Donna-I can't even imagine how busy you are! You will be great, the emotion never goes away!

We were at the movies last night watching another movie, but geez oh pete, the Avengers fans were out in full costume last night!!! There was even a guy with aluminum foil on his head in the shape of Thor's helmet!!!!

Akeelah's Mommy - May 5, 2012 1:04 am (#31 Total: 236)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Dang it. I have not been saying that at all and now I want a re-do on my May 4th! Only 3:00pm here so I guess I still have time to work it in.

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Lorena - I'm glad to hear that the interview went well and that you can choose your own schedule:) I bet you're having fun with the new interior house color and your project on "the chair" sounds really interesting:)

Lauren - I hadn't heard it either. I want a re-do too.

Katie - It's always fun to see people get really into it and dress up. My husband is already talking about Phoenix Comicon. Yikes! Apparently it's supposed to be a big Star Trek reunion this year . . . Hey, as long as they make Thor 2 and his shirt is off, I'm in:) That Aussie was on the View yesterday - going to be a daddy for the first time real soon.

Akeelah's Mommy - May 5, 2012 10:28 pm (#33 Total: 236)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

We went to see the Avengers yesterday... no fun dress up to be seen, but it was fun none the less. I love those kinds of movies, such fun.

Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend. We started ours with an early Mommy's day gift for my mom at the Lavender Farm... where a very handsome gardener heard my sob story of killing my Australian Tea Trees and gave me a cutting of his. Thank you Harrison the Hottie.
