Laura: Hi! Welcome to the cafe! That's great that her pediatrician says she's advanced in some areas!
Lorena: Glad you're liking your your job so far, sounds exciting! Happy belated mothers day!
Lindsay: Aww, that's super cute! You should post a picture of them, and ugh on signing right in the middle!
Went to Panera for lunch with my mom. Mmmmm, love me some Panera. Charles is just walking in the door with some ice cream too, yay!

yes this is my third post in a row.. but gotta ask you all something.
My heart is breaking for a friend of mine right now....I'm going google crazy for her. She had a mc her first pregnancy..second pregnancy had a preemie due to the cord falling out. He is perfect now. She has desperately trying to conceive again only to have 4 mc in a row. She found out she has the blood clotting disorder MTHFR (same as me) but is already on the aspirin and will start Lovenox once pregnant.
Has anyone have any advice...shes had a million test done and they cant find anything wrong.. wondering if her dr missed something that only you girls could think of.
Feel terrible...shes such an amazing mom and friend. Want nothing but the best for her.

Hugs Jessica! That's heartbreaking! Is she taking extra folic acid? Just looked it up right now and it said taking extra can reduce the miscarriage rate and if I remember right some friends that have that take a ton extra of folic acid especially when pregnant because something about they can't metabolize it enough, I forget. Have they tested her progesterone levels too? I know a lot of times with recurrent miscarriages they'll put you on progesterone supplements as soon as you ovulate. I think Samantha used an over the counter cream even so she didn't have to go to the doctor.

Jessica - I have MTHFR too (heterozygeous). I am wondering if they should test her for Leiden V or Factor V Leiden? Maybe even Lupus? I agree on the Folic Acid and also extra calcium supplements (thrombophilic stuff). I'd do Lovenox over a Heprin pump. Keeping you and your friend in my thoughts.

Jessica- I know right? She's the head of the OB/GYN Dept at our biggest hospital in the state... so it would be even cooler to prove her wrong... and I think I will. She doesn't know me, and I trust my old MFM way more who would neeeeeever give me those stats.
I second what everyone else has said as far as testing. Hubby might also think about testing... a friend of ours who did IVF found that there was some incompatibility between dad's goods and moms... don't know more than that about it... they had be on antibiotics and stuff while going through treatments...
Stacy- Bummer on the no good food!
We're heading off to a super fun annual craft fair today that has a petty zoo... last year it was a huge hit with Micah.

thanks girls for all your advice....most of it I know she has done...extra folic acid, the Leiden V and the Factor V Leiden...not sure about the lupus but think when they test for the other 3 they add that in not sure. Dont now about the calcium but...gotta ask her.
I know her hubbie was tested already cause she was thinking maybe she was attacking his spermies...but no...all was good there. Her mucus was good as well. Shes even doing the Robitussin to thin it just in case (to get preggo)
Feel terrible. Shes just playing the waiting game now. If you girls can think up more stuff let me know...thanks for everything so far. xoxo

Sheeesh.....tons of posts to catch up on, but only remember a few. Liz~ Her name (the friend at SU) is Subin. She does work at the national office. I'm sure she'd love to hear from you. Lauren~ Seriously?? 5%??? That crazy person has NO idea who you are and the determination that you have in your pinky finger to get this little one to full term! She'd better stand back!! Jess~ Same goes for your negative little dr.!!! Our weather is rainy and cool today......not always good for those mommies who celebrate Mother's Day in their hearts. Hugs to all of you....especially those who send love Heavenward to your kids.

Hello ladies!
Let's see...I loathe my SIL, I've singlehandedly ate a whole entire bag of veggie chips today, which in turn ripped my mouth like chewing on razor blades(they were good, tho). My MIL loved her gift, we got her a new kindle touch. My daughter was an actual angel in church this morning, and now we are about to eat some delish chicken/bacon pizza. Daddy is at work, and we are patiently waiting for funniest home video's to come on.
Happy mother's day, ladies.

Well good grief! I logged on earlier today and never posted anything after I read..... I'm so brain dead today!
Ansley spent the night with my parents last night and I stayed up later than usual with the knowledge I'd get to sleep in today....well, at 8 a.m., my mom called to tell me that Ansley was sick and I needed to pick her up since my nephews were also there. Needless today, not exactly what I had planned for the day. Her last episode was around 9 this morning and since then she's been fine. Great news, but still no sleep.
Only 4 more days of school left for students---6 official days for us. I'm pretty sure that it's going to take more than that to get everything packed up and ready to move though, but it's a nice thought.

Liz and Laura: Big hugs to both of you! Tracy: Boo on the no extra sleep! I hope Ansley feels better soon! Had Elim's 15 month checkup today! He's 24 lb 9 oz (70%), and 31.75 inches tall (50-60%)! Got three shots which he was not happy with, especially when I laid him back down after to fasten up his pants.

Lil' Elim has officially passed Micah in the weight department... he's got about an inch on him... but I'm guessing Elim will make short work of that! Bummer on the shots! I gotta bring Micah in to finish one set up and I'm totally procrastinating! Tracy- Booo on less sleep. Hope Ansley feels better soon. Katie- I had to laugh because the other day for some reason I thought winter was coming... I forgot we hadn't had summer yet! Monday Monday...

aww so cute our little boys are....poor little buggas but with those shots..hated doing it to Maddie...felt guilty OMG this heartburn is no joke. Told my dr but he suggested a scope...aahhh not happening...said I would deal but gotta say its times like this I wanna shove the tube down my own throat. Its so bad two weeks ago I thought I was actually having a heart attack...almost made Keith call 911 I've been popping tums like candy and swore it was coming back worse 30 minutes later...only to tonight google it and said that tums does that because of the calcium. ...so mad.
I can usually deal with pain and annoying things..not a complainer with that but this is unreal. Its even in my back. Help...any ideas. Scared to try the watermelon thing that I just read on google, scared any food would make it worse. (ok done complaining,,,,dont want anyone to think I'm that annoying preggo with the audacity to complain)

Lauren: No way, really?! He has been packing it in recently. Jessica: Are you to the point that you can take something more than tums? I think I was taking pepcid with Elim, pretty sure that's the one I was on, I had to take that every day twice a day but I forget when I started it. If I missed one single dose I paid for it for two or three days. Sleeping (or lack of it) was miserable, it just hurt so much to lay down! Don't feel bad for complaining, some things just suck and that doesn't make you appreciate your little miracle any less! Oh, the worst thing about today? His pediatrician is leaving the practice. Seriously, this just sucks! They're not supposed to leave us, we're supposed to leave them when the military moves us!! Ugh, so totally super bummed. Good thing is she gave me her schedule (but I forgot it) for working at the urgent care clinic that takes our insurance, but still, she won't be his doctor anymore. We'll just switch to her partner who we've seen just as often but yeah, we loved her. She's going to a less-stress job with 2 days a week, only sick calls so she can stay at home with her little girl more often and wants another baby (her daughter was a clomid baby) and have been trying for awhile with no success, so less stress is the answer.

Jessica - Sorry for the heartburn. Yeah, go for Pepcid. You need relief and sleep:)
Stacy - That does stink! I'm sorry your pediatrician is leaving, but as I read more, I totally understand the stress part of the equation. Hope it works out for her and glad to know that you've got a second ped in mind to fill her shoes.
Liz- HI!
I had a meeting today with my DDD coordinator. How did it go? Well, we were able to start the process of getting some services approved. The speech is my #1 right now, so that will most likely be the only thing happening immediately for Mr. T. The visit was long and so many things/issues were brought up. I wish people would keep their religious beliefs to themselves sometimes:(

Ugh, that stinks about the pediatrician. It's so hard to find one you love and trust.
Jess, I never had bad heartburn with either pregnancy but my SIL said that almonds and milk would help hers, but the calcium in milk would prob cause the same prob as the calcium in Tums.
Hi Liz!
So we had Nathan's IEP meeting (did I already talk about this) and not much changed. Still no one cares about the bus issue, he's currently getting NO services since they were all based out of his preschool. I have to call some people tomorrow to get this figured out, I hate being the bad guy sometimes but I wish they would all see that I just want to keep Nathan safe!

Laura~ You're not the "bad guy" for keeping your kid safe. They are for letting it continue without trying to handle it first thing. Do you know what would happen with my job if I did that??? Yeah....what job??? Stacy~ Boo on the ped. leaving. Ansley's ped. was killed in a car accident right after Ansley turned 2 and it was so heartbreaking for us!! We'd been through so much and we knew that he knew Ansley and all of her quirks. It took a long time to trust the new dr. fully and it's still the former guy's name in my phone for the office! Lindsay~ Dare I ask how religious beliefs fit into a services meeting??? Interesting...... Jess~ I hope you get relief from the heartburn. I had it one time bad enough to think I was having a heart attack.....HORRIBLE!! After that there was a note to self to stay away from cajun food until after the arrival of the twins! Ansley was fine by lunch yesterday!! Whatever it was was short lived and she was in full swing this morning for school. The principals of the new schools were named tonight and I have a feeling that we'll find out something soon regarding where we'll be heading for next school year. I'll be fine, but hopefully I'll be somewhere that Ansley will be comfortable with as well.

Tracy - Hi:) We were talking about something and then it went to "well, I don't know how spiritual you are, but . . . " It was just upsetting. It was unprofessional and the focus was taken off of our kiddo. The guy is actually leaving and moving to another department/cubicle, so thankfully we'll be assigned a new coordinator very soon.
