1lb 4oz 11 3/4inch MIRACLE
Zekariah - 06:06am May 7, 2012 ESTHaving my son at 25wks 1day due to a infection in my placenta everything happened so fast. But the NICU Staff were sooo wonderful and helpful and helpful In educating my husband and I. Although there were very many scary times and times that I didn't know if my son was gonna make it. He fought his lil heart out and made it. After about 10months living in the hospital he finally came home march 15,2010. Came home on a Ventilater, oxygen, g-tube, pulse ox. We learned allot. This past year he has overcome contracting MRSA and is not rid of it, overcome throat reconstruction, and now slowly overcoming oral aversion and starting to taste food lil by lil. We will be celebrating his 3rd birthday here soon. Boy has time flown by. I've much more to share but maybe another time or if someone wants to know more details feel free to email me. Don't loose faith and keep fighting.

Hi Theresa my name is Laura and my daughter Sophia was born at 29 weeks and 1 day when she was born she weighed 3 lbs 5 1/4 oz she was 16 inches long. I was only able to get 1 does of steroids to help her lungs. I went into Early Labor on November 16th My ob told me I was starting t dilate so I had to go to the Hospital and get monitored. I was 1.5 cm already by the time I got to Yale I was 3 cm I stayed calm they did an amnio to see if my fluid was infected and used the remaining for research. When my Favorite Ob came in he told me as soon as the gram stain came back we were having a baby this was around midnight I told him no we were not.. I developed the strep Bacteria in my fluid I only got to 4 cm before they had to do a c-section I was nervous because she was 11 weeks early. But he stayed with us and did a great job My dr has been there for me numerous times his bedside manner is great I have been his patient since late 2001. he even came to check on me on his day off very sweet. She was int-abated but was breathing over the tube so they removed it she was only on nip-v and on humidified room air. she spent a few days under the bili lights. She spend 37 days in the Nicu At Yale New Haven Hospital best place for her to be the staff was phenomenal she came home on Christmas Eve the best Present ever. Sophia is now almost 6 months old my dr is amazed when he sees her my next pregnancy will be followed by a circlage and weekly progesterone shots after week 16 to keep my pregnancy going. Sophia is a true miracle I felt bad when I had to leave her in the Nicu I did well I called and was up there everyday for hours at a time. There are some babies there who never have their parents by their side very sad.
