Liz: so glad you got the job, must be interesting to work at a gym.... Do you get other benefits? Like using the gym without paying or something like that??? How is the kindergarden

Stacy: so how is the beach???

Katie: I hope you are having great days at work... too busy?

Tracy: Glad Ansley has a nice teacher, there is nothing bad in bribering the kids, I think wow it seems like you have a lot to do...

Lindsay: mmm seems like you didn't get much in that reunion... It looks like they are not looking harder for someone to help, the problem I see is that they will get use to have you there, and that is not what they are getting pay for, you should put some more pressure, is there anyone else you can complain about? Or maybe you can help them "search" for someone....

Laura: Glad your kittens are back....

Not much to tell, yesterday was holiday here, we went to visit my sister out of town, the one that is going to look for my kids if I come to SU, the good sign was that Valentina was so happy she didn't wanted to leave, the bad sign is that my sister is not used to have little kids (all her kids are teenagers) and she forgets about them... so I am little worry there....
S did a great job in his scale model, the teacher called me to congratulate S for his work (yes I know I got little scare when he called me, I thought something bad happen) and his great explanation (he was the only one that did 3 parables, when it was just one) .... I feel so tire, I do't do much but I am always tire.... and this rainy weather that doesn't help at all...

Happy Thursday everyone....

Lorena

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Been lurking... gonna have to just jump back in.

NathansMom13 - Aug 17, 2012 1:07 am (#140 Total: 291)

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!!

Lorena, it's always a nice suprise when the teacher calls to tell you something good about our kids!

That's all I've got folks, I'm exhausted. I've been working a lot lately and been busy at work. The manager at work is leaving and her office is a disaster, her replacement is a neat freak like me so we've been in her office these last couple days cleaning. Now I'm off to bed!

liz loschinskey - Aug 17, 2012 5:44 pm (#141 Total: 291)

I love my kids!

Lorena, Awesome the teacher called to compliment! Also, you coming to SU, can't wait to meet you!

Hi Lauren!

Katie, hope you are having fun at bsb/knotb! Great pics on FB!

Laura, you?! Neat freak?!

The fantastic thing about this job is, it's part time, I get a free membership, and I get to meet all the members(and learn names of the hot ones) Ha!
Tori is registered and paid through May for pre-school. Do I want to cry? Yes. For some, this may not be a big deal. For me, I'd like to go cry in the corner. Or be one of those creepy people that stands in the corner of the pre-school to "observe".

Off topic: Why is yellow play doh a different consistency than all of the other colors?

lvazquez - Aug 17, 2012 7:32 pm (#142 Total: 291)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Liz - That's so awesome about the job! Sorry, I was skimming and totally missed it. That's really neat and the perks are good:) Wow, preschool already, huh? You'll have those tears, but there will be others hiding behind sunglasses too. I'll be thinking about you as that day draws near. Hugs! So, there's hot men? No answers on the colors of Play-Do.

Lorena - Yay for S! That's great!

A few more things in place for Mr. T and they are working. I hope it all stays consistent for him. So happy it's Friday! It's raining and going to be a rainy weekend. What to do w/ kiddos and an exchange student? Hmm . . .

Angel Love - Aug 17, 2012 8:46 pm (#143 Total: 291)

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Our busses were gone by 3:40 today!!!!

Let me refresh your memory of earlier days....Wednesday--Last bus left at 5:15!! Thursday 4:15 Today 3:40!!!! We're getting there!!!!!!!

Needless to say, as soon as the kids were gone, so was I!! No working late for me today and I went straight to the Dairy Queen for ice cream for Ansley and a big ol' COKE for me!!!

Lindsay~ Glad the changes are looking good so far!

Liz~ Woohoo on perks of working in the gym! At least if you get bored, you can just work out!! No clue on the Play-Doh question.

Lorena~ Yay for a positive phone call from S.'s teacher!!!

Laura~ Hope the cleaning spree gets done quickly so you don't lose your mind in the clutter!!

Julie~ In case you need it again after Jackie's quick link....it's in the Get Involved section!

Got home today and immediately noticed that my porch was clean of all dirt......Hmmm.....no wind, no dirt???????

I opened the door to my kitchen and living room SPOTLESS!!!!! The CLEANING FAIRY CAME!! My mom is so awesome!!!!

lvazquez - Aug 17, 2012 9:27 pm (#144 Total: 291)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Tracy - Clean house, awesome:) Wow, that was late! I'm glad the buses are getting a little better day by day. Poor kiddos and poor teachers/aides who stay late with them:(

liz loschinskey - Aug 17, 2012 9:55 pm (#145 Total: 291)

I love my kids!

Tracy-5:15??? As a parent, I'd be a little nervous if she came home that late. Did you guys get complaints? And your mom is the cleaning fairy?? I wish I had a cleaning fairy. May I borrow yours?

Akeelah's Mommy - Aug 17, 2012 10:16 pm (#146 Total: 291)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

So THAT'S where the cleaning fairy has been! Send her on over Tracy!!

Liz- Congrats on the job!

Lindsay- Glad things are getting in place for Mr. T there. Yeeesh!

Donna- I'm going to go out an limb and guess there are games this weekend- have fun

Holiday today.. Statehood Day.. seriously, I don't remember there being so many State holidays in Chicago... but man.. we have a LOT here. No complaints from me! You guys have any random just State holidays? We have Statehood... Kamehameha... Prince Kuhio... and those are just the ones off the top of my head.

Akeelah's Mommy - Aug 17, 2012 10:16 pm (#147 Total: 291)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Lorena- I was so impressed with the idea of the scale project- glad it got kudos from the teacher! Well deserved.

Donna S - Aug 17, 2012 10:18 pm (#148 Total: 291)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Tracy - Will you please send your mom my way? Zippity doo dah! That's awesome. And double bonus on the buses being gone at 3:40 today. That is progress.

Liz - Awesome job perks! No clue on the yellow plah-doh.

Laura - Good luck with that cleaning. Get some rest.

Lindsay - Glad to here the new processes are working.

Lorena - I'd be a little worried too. It is different to have younger kids around than it is to have olders. Fun that S's teacher called you to tell you how well he did. Love it!

Summer dance intensive is over for Grace. She had such a great time, but after dancing 4.5 hours a day for five days, she is beat. Back to full dance schedule, plus two or three classes, next week, in addition to soccer and the first week of school. Have I become one of *those* moms with my daughter? Scared. Had an issue with the office staff at middle school. We went to drop off Ryley's inhaler and dr authorization form this morning. The school nurse was in a district meeting, which I knew, but the office staff said none of them were authorized to take his medicine. Are you kidding me? In addition, he can't start school on Monday without that medicine and form checked in. They told me to come back today between 1:30 and 2 (when I would be half an hour away picking up Grace), or at 7:30 on Monday morning - in the midst of all the first-morning chaos. NOT HAPPY! Michael blessedly came home from work early and took the meds, but I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

Akeelah's Mommy - Aug 17, 2012 10:37 pm (#149 Total: 291)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Oh how I heart non-common sense rules.

Going off to clean my house singing my new theme song... "Just keep swimming.. just keep swimming.. just keep swiiiiiiming swiiiiiming...."

Akeelah's Mommy - Aug 17, 2012 10:37 pm (#150 Total: 291)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

And you're welcome for getting that song in your head now too.

LOL Lauren - I sing that to myself all the time. Happy cleaning!

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Donna - Urgh, I hope that's not a sign. I'm glad hubby was able to get back over there and get 'em dropped off. No, you don't need any extra glitches on the first day back.

Lauren - Hoorah for State holidays!

Tracy - I want a cleaning fairy. I think the exchange student thinks that's ALL I do. Well, I'm thinking she could start to help me a bit more??? She could be my French maid!!!

ethan&casey's mom - Aug 18, 2012 1:59 am (#153 Total: 291)

mom to angels ethan and casey (3-7-07); daughters Kaelin Reese born happy and healthy on 3-10-09; and Kelsey Grace on 9/17/11

Hi Girls,
You've all been quite chatty. I wish I could hang out more... between work (3 new clients in last month), trying to keep up with things around the house and hanging with the girls -- me tired.

Tracy: 5:15 for a school bus?? how many irate parents called the school? glad today's dismissal ran more smoothly. And your mom -- she rocks! Can you send her my way? I struggle to clean once or twice a month.

Lindsay: glad things are falling into place for Mr. T. It's awesome how on top of things you are. So what's the exchange student like? Is she adjusting well?

Donna: Your kiddos have had quite the summer -- and sounds like they are involved with a lot. Sorry about the medicine issue -- someone's slacking on their end. When you notify schools about a student's medicine -- is there supposed to be more than one person to dispense?

Lauren: how are you hanging in with two kiddos? Micah and Makaela are so beautiful. Took me a while to adjust after we had Kelsey ... i had forgotten how time-consuming a newborn was, and add to that -- a demanding toddler. Hope Micah gives you somewhat of a break!

Liz: preschool already for Tori? Is it more daycare than preschool? Our sitter just ordered her preschool curriculum for Kaelin and two others. Still not sure how she's going to do it with a bunch of younger kids running around. We'll evaluate the effectiveness of that monthly. Which preschool will she attend? Congrats on the new gig at the gym.

Lorena: glad to hear you are coming to SU! Have you had any work lately? Glad to her S is doing well in school.

Well, i'm off to check out P2P for a short while and post on a few blogs -- then it's bedtime. Got about five hours of sleep last night. Dan's traveling ... and the first night with him away is always usually short. Good thing is that with the exception of one night -- Kelsey has slept through the night ... getting up for an early morning snack and then crashing again until about 7 or so. And even Kaelin is gracing me with some decent sleep.

night, girls!

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Dropping in for a sec! Made it out to a gorgeous cabin out in the woods! Crossing my fingers for a fever free Elim in the morning but I'm not betting on it. Currently my dad is throwing a towel at a massive hornet with fly swatter in hand to kill it. This thing is a monster!

NathansMom13 - Aug 18, 2012 7:02 am (#155 Total: 291)

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!!

OK Lauren, I"m at work right now and bored out of my mind because it's 3am and they are all thankfully sleeping but that song is in my head and I was just caught by one of the CNA's singing it out loud

Donna, so glad the hubbs could take the meds to school for you so that was one less thing you need to do. If you do become one of *those* mom's with Grace will you please appear on a show similar to lifetime's Dance Mom's

Tracy, glad the busses are making progress. What time do you get out of school, when should the busses be leaving?

Liz, I love going to the gym and it's not all about the workouts, there are some seriously hott men at the gym!

OK, that's all I've got. It's nighttime and I want to be sleeping but I'm working from 11p-11a and I need to walk around so I don't fall asleep!

Jackie G - Aug 18, 2012 1:31 pm (#156 Total: 291)

Mom to a 25 weeker who is now 8 years old and a 38.5 weeker who is now 6

Donna - I want to second Laura... if you become a crazy dance mom, we want you on TV! LOL

Liz - I meant to say congrats on the job but I can't remember if I did or not. So Congrats!!!

Tracy - How is it possible that buses take that long to load?!?

Stacy - Hope Elim is ok this morning.

Lorena - You're going to make it to SU?!? Don't know how I missed that! Woohoo!

So it's the first weekend of football season at my house. Ugh. Brian is thrilled with his schedule this year and at least it's better than normal, but it's still a lot of weekends away. The thing I'm going to struggle with is the fact that Matt is playing flag football and all his games are on Saturday-- the same day Brian is always out of town ref-ing. He keeps saying some year he's going to have to make a choice between his ref career and watching his kids play. I know he'll choose the kids, but it won't be until his hand is forced. At least it's almost back to school time for us, so I'll get breaks from my little monsters! LOL

Just keep swimming... dang it, Lauren!

KHolley - Aug 18, 2012 1:50 pm (#157 Total: 291)

Hey ladies! Popping by to say hi, I am having a blast at the New Kids concert! They were great last night and tonight, they are performing with the Backstreet Boys! For those of you without FB, I met Aaron Carter last night. He just happened to be walking by. Here is the wonderful picture, yes, he grabbed by head and pulled it right next to his! Part of my dreams came true, he was on Dancing with the Stars, he was so sweet and cuddly!

Donna S - Aug 18, 2012 3:35 pm (#158 Total: 291)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Katie - Sweet!! Love it. Sooooo jealous!

Laura and Jackie - I promise to not become a crazy dance mom. But if I do, you'll be the first to know when I get my own reality tv show.

Stacy - Hope Elim is doing better this morning and is fever-free. Glad the hornet was smashed.

Lindsay - Kick that girl in the butt and get her moving! lol

Erin - BUSY!!!! Get some good rest.

Jackie - Sigh on Brian missing Matt's games. Here's wishing your football season passes quickly!

My birthday (yes, it was two months ago) special day from my in-laws is today!! Going wine tasting. Fun! Since they know all the wine-makers, we get the inside scoop, and food pairings at one winery.

lvazquez - Aug 18, 2012 3:54 pm (#159 Total: 291)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Jackie - I'm glad he's got a better schedule. That's rough. Hopefully he'll be able to get to one down the road. Matt's got you there and one parent is better than none. I remember playing sports when I was little and some parents never even showed up for games. They just dropped off and picked up.

Katie - Hoorah! Wow, a dream come true! You look fabulous and SO happy!

Erin - I remember those early days with my boys. They are just 20 months apart and that first year with them together was hard. Not as hard as the following year as I'd find out, but still, you are pushed to your limit.

Doing laundry today and just hanging out. Hubby is at a conference from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Ugh, the laundry . . .

Akeelah's Mommy - Aug 18, 2012 6:27 pm (#160 Total: 291)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Katie- I know you were the highlight of his day! Love a guy that rocks the skinny jeans. Sizzle.

Laura & Jackie- Like I said... you're welcome- Jackie you started it!

Stacy- Hope the hornet is no more and Elim is feeling ok!

Lindsay- Good luck tackling the laundry piles!

I'm off for a short work meeting then not sure.

And too funny about the baby powder... I've heard it works wonders... lived here over 10 years going to the beach a ridiculous amount... never used it... hence enough sand in my car to fill a sandbox. I'm going to try it finally!

liz loschinskey - Aug 18, 2012 9:05 pm (#161 Total: 291)

I love my kids!

Erin-Preschool at the Y, over in New Brighton. They start at 2yrs there. She didn't make the cut for 3 year olds, she missed it by a week. YaY for sleep!

Stacy-I hate bee's, wasps, hornets, any type of bug that will sting me. Hope Elim is on the mend with Motrin and Yay for cabin in the woods!

Laura-I look all the time, and stay awake!

Jackie-thanks and good luck with football!

Katie, yay!

Donna, Happy wine tasting!

Lindsay-laundry = yuck!

Lauren- baby powder totally works on sand!!

M's been back to work, 12-15hr shift work. Booo. We haven't seen him in a few days an hour here or there. So today T and I ventured to the woods. Literally, it's called Shakerwoods. It's a huge craft/food type thing in the woods. It's really neat. Way to crowded for a jogging stroller on pea sized gravel pathways through the woods.

That's all I got.

Akeelah's Mommy - Aug 19, 2012 1:21 am (#162 Total: 291)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Liz- That sounds really neat.

Lance and Micah are going to watch our AAAAAAAAA baseball team tonight Na Koa Ikaika Maui (said like an announcer) and Makaela and I are gonna cruise. I swear she's on a 48 hour cycle... one wakeful day, one sleepy day hit repeat.

stacyat - Aug 19, 2012 1:44 am (#163 Total: 291)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Laura: Haha on the CNA singing that song when it was already stuck in your head!

I would so watch Donna on dance moms!

Katie: Totally jealous! I had a tape with one of his songs when I was a kid and loved him! He's grown up to be quite cute!

Donna: Oooh, take notes! Maybe we can use those notes to tell our cabana boy what to whip up for us.

Lindsay: Reminds me I should do some laundry tomorrow!

Lauren: Let us know if it works out for you!

Liz: Sounds like a fun time despite the gravel road!

We've nixed the river tubing idea, it's only getting up to 74 degrees water temperature, my sister in law is sick and Elim is sick so it's a no go. Today we went and had pizza for lunch and checked out the town. It's pretty cool and reminds me a lot of Germany which was their goal so mission accomplished. Kinda neat! Elim is still sick, drool is pouring out of his mouth and he's got little sores in the back of his throat so we're thinking some sort of viral thing like hand foot mouth or something. Poor guy is miserable and also puts a crimp in our visiting plans while in Atlanta. Hopefully he starts feeling better soon.

liz loschinskey - Aug 19, 2012 2:35 am (#164 Total: 291)

I love my kids!

Ugh...my neice just had handfootmouth and that was one of tbe signs.....little ulcer looking things in her throat mouth, fever, blisters on her feet and wrists/hands, miserable screaming, not sleeping, not eating/drinking....she didnt go to the bathroom 1or2 for over 24hours. My sil took her to childrens. They gave her a pain med let it kick in and pumped her wigh popsicles at tbe hospital. She got to go home after she went potty.

Sorry Stacy.

Also sorry for spelling errors while on my phone!!

Donna S - Aug 19, 2012 2:37 am (#165 Total: 291)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Stacy - Ugh. Poor baby. Some kids are just susceptible. Grace gets EVERYTHING like that. The boys almost never have strep or the like.

Liz - Besides pushing a stroller through gravel, sounds like a really fun place.

Lauren - I'm tellin ya, baby powder is awesome for the sand, but we were only told the secret three years ago. Give Makaela a few weeks. She will sort it out. And some of the best professional players in baseball are coming from Hawaii. It's a trend these days. One of my fav players is Hawaiian...he just got traded from the A's to Washington. Awesome dude...great dad...so giving, great catcher.

Lindsay - So hear ya on the laundry. I have at least four loads to get through tomorrow.

Wine tasting was beautiful. Such a perfect "special day". I know that I am so blessed in my in-laws. Came home with a case +1 of wine. Seriously. But sun + wine = sleepy girl.

KHolley - Aug 19, 2012 4:41 am (#166 Total: 291)

One more pop by! Just met Howie from Backstreet! Pretty sure my life is so close to complete, just need a New Kid! It will have to wait until next time!!!!

Howie

Akeelah's Mommy - Aug 19, 2012 7:16 am (#167 Total: 291)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Stacy- Oy! Poor guy, he just catches everything. Hope he's feeling better soon.

Donna- Who knew? All I know is the Victorino dude. Maybe the whole year round summer thing helps... Wine tasting sounds wonderful! I just might have me a small glass tomorrow.

Katie- You are just meetin' all the boys! What fun!

Seriously, only when you leave your car windows rolled down does it rain... off to close 'em.
