Abigail's Mom (29 weeks, 3/21/05)

Hey Guys- Back from England/France. We had a great time and I got work done but relaxed a bit. Surprised Abigail with a day at Disneyland Paris for being such a good traveler. It was a small park but so magical to her. He face was priceless.

Happy Birthday to Mr. T.

Congratulations on Alex's missing tooth. Abigail lost two in England. We were starting to worry that they would never come out.

Jess- Glad the move went well and BP is stable. Hooray!

Tracy- I agree with Stacy, he probably still got off cheaper at the mall than Six Flags and it sounds like they had a gret time. Are you back?

I can't believe it is August. We start classes here the 26th, freshmen the week before and my MIL comes to help soon... and then soccer, tennis and swimming, what was I thinking?
See you ladies later

Angel Love - Aug 2, 2012 3:20 pm (#16 Total: 291)

Ellen~ Welcome back!! Any Olympic fun for ya'll??

Katie~ Too many sports for your kiddos to be that young!! I'm tired just thinking of you running all over FL!

Jess~ Glad the bp is looking good now! I think the move back to my old school has sent mine back up.....

Liz~ Your bp sounds about like mine all the time....death warmed over.

Stacy~ Like the new do! Your hair always does what it's suppose to. Too funny with the bunny ears! He's definately going to keep you on your toes!

I can't remember anything else. Sorry if I missed someone.....

Akeelah's Mommy - Aug 2, 2012 5:33 pm (#17 Total: 291)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

I should probably play this like when you get a compliment on something you made right out of a box and just say Thanks... because um... not like if you went back and saw the August 2011 Cafe that they would look similar....

Stacy- Love the new do! And what a funny dude Mr. Elim is!

Tracy- Glad they're done, and like others, I think he still saved pennies instead of hitting up Six Flags!

Ellen- Welcome back! I can't wait to hear how everything went!

Lindsay- Hope the cake turned out how you wanted. Love that he rocks the retro games! Happy birthday T!

Liz- Oy on the appointments, that tops the dentist or annual GYN visit anyday!! And my BP used to look close to that!

Katie- Wow, that's a lot of places to cart the kids around to! Is it wrong to hope my kids are lazy?

Off to get the day started. Tomorrow I'm island hopping for work... not pleased about already leavin' Miss Makaela, but I know she'll have fun with Oma and Micah. She's 4 weeks today!

NathansMom13 - Aug 2, 2012 5:55 pm (#18 Total: 291)

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!!

Lauren, shut the front door that little girl can NOT be 4 weeks old already! Gosh time flys by.

Katie - you are just like Donna with all those sports and activities!

Welcome back Ellen.

Ugh, this weekend is full of family reunions, 2 of them. I've been making cookie dough balls all day as my contribution to each of them. At least I know 1 of them will be fun and 1 will be boring.

Nathan finished Kindergarten warm-up and loved it. He can't wait until school starts, takes so much anxiety away from me about the school year. But he told me I ruined his WHOLE day, I gave him a yogurt smoothie instead of regular yogurt as a snack I'm such a mean mommy

liz loschinskey - Aug 2, 2012 6:07 pm (#19 Total: 291)

I love my kids!

Laura, darn you for giving him a yogurt smoothie!

Lauren, holy 4 weeks already. Time is a flyin'! And, come to think of it, I faintly remember saying to myself this time last year....cool down cafe...August is the hottest month of the year here....slacker!

Erin, congrats on the sweetpea writings!

Ellen, nice to see you back!

Lindsay-happy birthday T-man!!!

Katie, that's too much for me....I'd be getting everything mixed up. I can barely handle tumble tots, storytime, playdates and my bible study, not including her OT and Developmental therapies.....Good luck!

bbl...

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Laura- Wow momma, how dare you! I mean really. What were you thinking! Micah has done the same to me... ever watch Louie CK? See the one about kids and bubble gum flavored medicine? Cracks me up.

Liz- Oy, that's a list right there too! Wow! And seriously <- total slacker.

Jackie- I'll check it out.

Still procrastinating...

Angel Love - Aug 3, 2012 2:28 am (#22 Total: 291)

Lauren~ Shhhh......just take the "thanks" for pulling it up from last year!!!! No rule saying you can't do that!!!

Really? 4 weeks already???? I think work should have to leave you alone for your full 6 weeks!!!! Tell 'em I said so!

Lindsay~ I definately want to see a pic of T's cake when all is done! I hope the b-day is awesome!!!

Laura~ Yay for Nathan having a great day at school and looking forward to more!! Mean mom--LOL!!!!! We can never do anything right?

These girls on the balance beam are amazing!! I have a hard enough time not doing a "balance check" on the floor, must less on a 4" beam!!!

So went to Hobby Lobby to buy fabric to match my classroom and ended up changing the whole color scheme of my room. Like changing schools (again) isn't enough work in itself, I go and do something crazy.....oh well.....keeps people on their toes!

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

They're leaving me alone for a full 6 weeks but it's a really important day for students so I wanted to be there.

Oooh and what is the theme now?

BecauseofAlaina - Aug 3, 2012 5:03 am (#24 Total: 291)

mom to Emily (36 weeker)- 8 yo, Alaina (33 weeker)- 5 yo, Matthew (37 weeker)- 3 yo

Hey all,
Lauren--- I can't believe she is 4 weeks old already. boo on working
Lindsay-- definitely show cake pics, would love to see that.
Laura-- so glad Nathan had a good day at school... Don't you love when they tell you your a mean mommy, especially when you think you are doing something good lol

We have a family reunion this weekend and it should be nice if I can go. Alaina came down with a low grade fever this morning. It didn't get higher than 100.5 all day but I don't want to take her if she is sick. But I feel bad because she is soooo excited to go. She doesn't see michaels parents often and her cousins either. I am hoping she wakes up five in morning and we can go. Otherwise I will stay back with her and Michael will take the other two. It stinks because it is 4 hours away. We are going to doctor tomorrow anyway because it is staple removal day. She us so funny. She keeps saying "awwww coconuts I don't want dr b to take them out it us going to hurt ". Sometimes these kids are sooooo cute.

Ttfn

Hope she's feeling up to it tomorrow!

Still procrastinating... I tell ya.. if they gave gold medals for this... I'd have a ton of 'em!

KHolley - Aug 3, 2012 1:23 pm (#26 Total: 291)

Lauren-I am a super procrastinator too!!!! I am supposed to leave the house in 10 minutes to meet some friends, I am still sitting here in my jammies!

Tracy-I love the decorating part of school, the getting up in the morning is the part I fear!

Geri-I hope that you are able to go!

Ellen-Welcome back! I have been following your pictures on FB!

One more week off...boo! I could go for two more weeks, but then at the end of those two weeks, I would be begging for two more!

esgf - Aug 3, 2012 1:50 pm (#27 Total: 291)

Abigail's Mom (29 weeks, 3/21/05)

Lauren- Back to work all ready? You are so dedicated to those kids, they are really lucky to have you.

Geri- I hope everyone is well for the reunion. I know how much they look forward to the big events.

Laura- Have fun at the reunions! I hope the second one surprises you. I am so glad that Nathan loved kindergarten. What a relief. I can't believe he is that big, though.

Tracy- maybe a new color scheme is good to go with a new move....? I agree the gymnasts are incredible. Abigail thinks we are so mean for not letting her take them....all her friends do...

Good luck Liz. I found the colonoscopy to be not that bad b/c I don't remember a thing. The prep wasn't great but I can think of worse things.

My sister comes this weekend which should be fun. We are finally unpacked and getting settled in. Speaking of which I should get back to work. We switched email systems yesterday and I can't figure the new one out.

Oh and Abigail learned to ride a bike yesterday and is so excited.

lvazquez - Aug 3, 2012 1:59 pm (#28 Total: 291)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Ellen - Welcome back:) Ah, so cute, Disneyland Paris! I bet she had a good time. Sorry you're back to work already, but what memories you made over the summer:)

Lauren - Sorry you're island hopping. I know it's hard, but she's in really good hands. Hugs!

Tracy - I stumbled upon a Hobby Lobby last weekend. So many cool things in there. Hope your lovin' your new classroom decor. Speaking of classroom set-up, I usually do my hubby's bulletin boards, but with time crunch and Meet the Teacher and Mr. T's birthday, he did it them and they actually look good.

Liz - Hope your pressures regulate. Sorry for the digestive issues. Stay healthy lady. No worries, it will all get done in time. I know, I feel like I have this scrolling agenda of events in my head. It's insane!

Geri - Hope you get to go to the reunion.

Katie - You got lots of activities going on. Fun stuff! Wow, she pulled it out herself? Yeah, it's been so long since anyone lost a tooth here. I'm kind of excited for it.

Okay, the cake turned out really funky, but it was fun making it. I was going to roll out red Starbursts for the controller buttons, but it didn't happen. I had some spatial issues with the lettering, but it was yummy. I will post pics when I get a chance to blog. Little ones are asking for computer time and I want to keep the peace. Peds appt. for Mr. T today and then I'm cleaning today before the weekend.

liz loschinskey - Aug 3, 2012 9:35 pm (#29 Total: 291)

I love my kids!

Ellen, I can't really think of anything I'd rather be doing, aside from emptying my whole gi tract. -pukes-

Lindsay, Good luck keeping the peace.

So, I've been coming here for years now and I think it is finally time to read the rules and regulations for Share. In the past 2 weeks(1 of which I was on vacation) I've got 2 emails/messages about posts or blogs I've done. Not that I care, swearing on share is not family oriented-got it. I've had pictures taken down, whole posts taken off, and edits done over the last year that I really didn't think it was hurting anyone or anything until AFTER I got the reasoning. So before it happens again, I'm going to read the rules in fear that I am not being a good example to others. I feel pretty dumb...in an ok way...that my gutter mouth is gonna get me in trouble.

brb...

What the bleepity bleep...(kidding, I kid, I kid)

Just an FYI-The terms of use isn't working. The editorial policy isn't working. It says = default.html I don't know what that means.

I'm like a sponge and learn new things daily. Mental notes have been taken and will not happen again.

Ohh 26 new posts... I like to read but I am not so sure I can recall all that has been said....

Tracy: Glad your ceiling is done, why is that work men come when you want to sleep late?? I love to decorate...

Ellen: Welcome back! Sounds like you had a great trip.... That is fun that your sister comes to visit....

Liz: oh sorry you have some digestive problems... I have low bp, and in pregnancies it got lower....

Laura: so glad Nathan enjoyed his pre heat school, so funny about the door thing.... Have fun at your fam gathering... honestly I am trying to avoid those, the last ones were a total mess, and I am starting to not enjoy them, and with big family is hard not to get in those all the time.......

Lindsay: Happy birthday !!! wow I am impressed you made and decorate the cake! Are you having a big celebration?? That is so nice of you, to decorate your DH classroom, I think I would do that too... I am not sure were are you going tomorrow... but have a great day and WE

Donna; really a Lego camp?? that sounds marvelous... I am sure Ethan is enjoying it so much....

Erin: I saw the link you send, it sounds fab, specially the thing about helping donating knitting things, I didn't know that March of Dimes also has it, I saw it on the link page of little sweat peas....

Jessica: oh sorry you are going to miss SU 2012, but you have a very special cause for it....you will be missed!

Katie: your kids are in all kind of sports, I feel bad now, like I am not going to receive the best mom medal....

Lauren: oh no here maternity leave is awful, gov doesn't pay for that... is the family that stays with the woman that delivers a baby, usually the mom, an aunt or a sister come to her house and stays for 40 days helping....

well I have been busy, and my DH and miss V are sick, miss V with ear pain, and low fever... and my DH with bad flu, Stefano is now in a birthday party of a classmate, in a club, with pools and all that, I hope he is enjoying, he had a long face since he wanted to be home to play with his wii (since I just let him play for 1 hour on Fridays after school) .... Ok I go and check on miss V she said she was going to have a nap in her room... ... and she is so quiet....

    Happy WE everyone....

    Lorena

    Arnara - Aug 3, 2012 10:07 pm (#32 Total: 291)

Oh Stacy! I forgot to comment on your new hair do... and the funny/cute pic of Mr. Elim in his bunny ears.... I love how he is smiling in that picture....

miss V is really having a nap... mixed emotions, should I worry she is feeling bad, or happy and have some free time ???

    KHolley - Aug 4, 2012 1:25 am (#33 Total: 291)

Lorena-I hope that S had fun at his party! I would let V sleep, it's good for them when they are not feeling well. I hope she feels better soon!

Lindsay-I can't wait to see the cake, I bet it is fabulous!

We are off to an auction tomorrow, just for fun!

    Angel Love - Aug 4, 2012 2:09 am (#34 Total: 291)

I don't know how in the world I can keep all those comments straight in my brain, but here goes.....

I know there were a couple of reunions mentioned. I hope that everyone is well and that they turn out more fun than you expect. My family is an eat and talk kinda group so it's not too entertaining. I want the fun weekend kind of fun, but hey--that's what I have you girls for!!

Lauren~ If you WANT to go to work then so be it, but you know I was stepping in to defend you if the work folks were MAKING you!!

There isn't a "theme" to my classroom, just colors. They were red and black (of course), but I found some fabric that had some of the lime green in it that I loved so now it's going to be black, grey, lime green and white. Don't get me wrong, my bulldog will still be present, but not the whole room!

Lorena~ I hope that your family members are feeling better soon. That's no fun!!!

Ansley and I went to a birthday party for a friend at the bowling alley! She had a blast and it was a short two hours so I was happy too. Love a kids party that doesn't drag on forever!

How many swimming events can there be??????? Good grief! We're now one total week with at least some swimming every day! I was happy to see the track heats getting cranked up today just to see something new! Do I sound like an old person yet??

    I love my kids!

Lorena, I hope the sickies go away at your house soon. Let V sleep, she probably needs it!

Tracy, Classroom sounds awesome! So glad Ansley had fun bowling. There free bowling at the local bowling alley. They put the bumpers up and we try and get T our every week. She loves it!

Katie, Auctions are fun! We've picked up a few things at auctions of things left at houses- The families just want to get rid of the stuff. Someone else's trash is another's treasure, I suppose.

Taking T to Kennywood tomorrow. It's a pretty big amusement park with rides, water rides, eats, games....50% chance of rain. Which then means it will be so hot and humid. Blah. However, Tori is tall enough to ride everything in kiddie land now and some big rides through out the park. I'm excited for her!

    The gym calls.

Oh Liz---the gym calls me too, but I ignore the call.... You go girl! Hope the day at Kennywood is great and cooler with the clouds.

I think I'm going to try out for Olympic trampoline next time..... What cha think? I did see Sean White there last night watching them getting ideas for new tricks on his snowboard.

    Arnara - Aug 4, 2012 5:15 pm (#39 Total: 291)

Liz & Tracy: Thx for The get well wish es for my fam... And Liz wow you go on Saturdays to The gym? Tracy i am with you The gym is screaming for me but seems that I have a deaf ear....

Katie: yes I know it is good for them to sleep, The thing is that They never do it in The daytime only At night, They are good sleepers (12-14 Hours) so I get worrying when do They sleep in The day...

Miss V is just fine, S had a great day arrived At 9 pm The Birthday mom brought him home after They went for a pizza, she is good friend of mine, and kids get along so well.. And since miss V slept a lot in The afternoon we stayed up late playing Wii ressort ... Bowling and ghost hunter The 4 of us... Lorena-I am happy to hear that Miss V is feeling better! Your kids are great sleepers, I have trouble getting mine to bed!

Tracy-I have been ignoring the call this summer, I guess it's back to the gym in a couple of weeks, when I get back in routine.

Liz-I hope you have fun tomorrow! We love auctions, sometimes just for the people watching!

If they made napping an Olympic sport, I'd for sure have the gold! I do think it would be a close call between Tracy and me!

    liz loschinskey - Aug 4, 2012 8:23 pm (#41 Total: 291)

    I love my kids!

Tracy-I wish we had a trampoline. It would be fun.

Katie-People watching is my favorite past time. I have to wear movie star sun glasses to hide my true intent of sitting on a park bench. I've been told more than 5 times, I talk with my facial expressions...it's hard sometimes to hold back.

Lorena, Wii night sounds fun! Pizza parties are even funner!!!

Anyone need some zucchini? We have an over abundance. Need tomato's? How about broccolli? Our garden is bursting! My green beans are so good...-drool- I scrubbed down my whole kitchen and steam cleaned Tori's playroom, did 4 loads of laundry. All this talk of naps...I need a nap.
Church tonight, fun in the sun tomorrow.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Oh most certainly will join that sport Katie!!!! I just woke up from mine today!

I was just going to comment that if Lorena gets worried when her kids sleep during the day, she'd panic around me!!! Sometimes I worry about myself!!

Ansley and I have been total bums today!!! I love it when there is no agenda, but feel like I've waisted a day when I do like I've done today....

Lorena - I hope that everyone is well. Glad that S had a nice time. Love it when you have that trusted parent friend who takes good care of your kiddo:)

Okay girls (and James), I have some news. I'm not expecting a baby, but I am expecting a foreign exchange student! Yes, she arrived just a few hours ago and so far, so good. I'm sure every system is on overload. It's been such a crazy week with Mr. T's birthday (OMG he's 5), meeting teachers, and accepting a super part-time teaching contract. Never a dull moment I tell you. Too funny, it was the kids' first time to the airport. Mr. T loves baggage claim. Who knew?! He was laughing as the bags came up and dropped. It was too funny! He has a sweet laugh. Okay, nighty night. SCHOOL on Monday . . . Glad I didn't throw out all of those papers. Now I need some of them:)

    Arnara - Aug 5, 2012 3:18 pm (#44 Total: 291)
