Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Dropping in for a sec! Made it out to a gorgeous cabin out in the woods! Crossing my fingers for a fever free Elim in the morning but I'm not betting on it. Currently my dad is throwing a towel at a massive hornet with fly swatter in hand to kill it. This thing is a monster!

NathansMom13 - Aug 18, 2012 7:02 am (#155 Total: 291)

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!!

OK Lauren, I"m at work right now and bored out of my mind because it's 3am and they are all thankfully sleeping but that song is in my head and I was just caught by one of the CNA's singing it out loud

Donna, so glad the hubbs could take the meds to school for you so that was one less thing you need to do. If you do become one of *those* mom's with Grace will you please appear on a show similar to lifetime's Dance Mom's

Tracy, glad the busses are making progress. What time do you get out of school, when should the busses be leaving?

Liz, I love going to the gym and it's not all about the workouts, there are some seriously hott men at the gym!

OK, that's all I've got. It's nighttime and I want to be sleeping but I'm working from 11p-11a and I need to walk around so I don't fall asleep!

Jackie G - Aug 18, 2012 1:31 pm (#156 Total: 291)

Mom to a 25 weeker who is now 8 years old and a 38.5 weeker who is now 6

Donna - I want to second Laura... if you become a crazy dance mom, we want you on TV! LOL

Liz - I meant to say congrats on the job but I can't remember if I did or not. So Congrats!!!

Tracy - How is it possible that buses take that long to load?!?

Stacy - Hope Elim is ok this morning.

Lorena - You're going to make it to SU?!? Don't know how I missed that! Woohoo!

So it's the first weekend of football season at my house. Ugh. Brian is thrilled with his schedule this year and at least it's better than normal, but it's still a lot of weekends away. The thing I'm going to struggle with is the fact that Matt is playing flag football and all his games are on Saturday-- the same day Brian is always out of town ref-ing. He keeps saying some year he's going to have to make a choice between his ref career and watching his kids play. I know he'll choose the kids, but it won't be until his hand is forced. At least it's almost back to school time for us, so I'll get breaks from my little monsters! LOL

Just keep swimming... dang it, Lauren!

KHolley - Aug 18, 2012 1:50 pm (#157 Total: 291)

Hey ladies! Popping by to say hi, I am having a blast at the New Kids concert! They were great last night and tonight, they are performing with the Backstreet Boys! For those of you without FB, I met Aaron Carter last night. He just happened to be walking by. Here is the wonderful picture, yes, he grabbed by head and pulled it right next to his! Part of my dreams came true, he was on Dancing with the Stars, he was so sweet and cuddly!

Donna S - Aug 18, 2012 3:35 pm (#158 Total: 291)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Katie - Sweet!! Love it. Sooooo jealous!

Laura and Jackie - I promise to not become a crazy dance mom. But if I do, you'll be the first to know when I get my own reality tv show.

Stacy - Hope Elim is doing better this morning and is fever-free. Glad the hornet was smashed.

Lindsay - Kick that girl in the butt and get her moving! lol

Erin - BUSY!!!! Get some good rest.

Jackie - Sigh on Brian missing Matt's games. Here's wishing your football season passes quickly!

My birthday (yes, it was two months ago) special day from my in-laws is today!! Going wine tasting. Fun! Since they know all the wine-makers, we get the inside scoop, and food pairings at one winery.

lvazquez - Aug 18, 2012 3:54 pm (#159 Total: 291)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Jackie - I'm glad he's got a better schedule. That's rough. Hopefully he'll be able to get to one down the road. Matt's got you there and one parent is better than none. I remember playing sports when I was little and some parents never even showed up for games. They just dropped off and picked up.

Katie - Hoorah! Wow, a dream come true! You look fabulous and SO happy!

Erin - I remember those early days with my boys. They are just 20 months apart and that first year with them together was hard. Not as hard as the following year as I'd find out, but still, you are pushed to your limit.

Doing laundry today and just hanging out. Hubby is at a conference from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Ugh, the laundry . . .

Akeelah's Mommy - Aug 18, 2012 6:27 pm (#160 Total: 291)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Katie- I know you were the highlight of his day! Love a guy that rocks the skinny jeans. Sizzle.

Laura & Jackie- Like I said... you're welcome- Jackie you started it!

Stacy- Hope the hornet is no more and Elim is feeling ok!

Lindsay- Good luck tackling the laundry piles!

I'm off for a short work meeting then not sure.

And too funny about the baby powder... I've heard it works wonders... lived here over 10 years going to the beach a ridiculous amount... never used it... hence enough sand in my car to fill a sandbox. I'm going to try it finally!

liz loschinskey - Aug 18, 2012 9:05 pm (#161 Total: 291)

I love my kids!

Erin-Preschool at the Y, over in New Brighton. They start at 2yrs there. She didn't make the cut for 3 year olds, she missed it by a week. YaY for sleep!

Stacy-I hate bee's, wasps, hornets, any type of bug that will sting me. Hope Elim is on the mend with Motrin and Yay for cabin in the woods!

Laura-I look all the time, and stay awake!

Jackie-thanks and good luck with football!

Katie, yay!

Donna, Happy wine tasting!

Lindsay-laundry = yuck!

Lauren- baby powder totally works on sand!!

M's been back to work, 12-15hr shift work. Booo. We haven't seen him in a few days an hour here or there. So today T and I ventured to the woods. Literally, it's called Shakerwoods. It's a huge craft/food type thing in the woods. It's really neat. Way to crowded for a jogging stroller on pea sized gravel pathways through the woods.

That's all I got.

Akeelah's Mommy - Aug 19, 2012 1:21 am (#162 Total: 291)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Liz- That sounds really neat.

Lance and Micah are going to watch our AAAAAAAAA baseball team tonight Na Koa Ikaika Maui (said like an announcer) and Makaela and I are gonna cruise. I swear she's on a 48 hour cycle... one wakeful day, one sleepy day hit repeat.

stacyat - Aug 19, 2012 1:44 am (#163 Total: 291)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Laura: Haha on the CNA singing that song when it was already stuck in your head!

I would so watch Donna on dance moms!

Katie: Totally jealous! I had a tape with one of his songs when I was a kid and loved him! He's grown up to be quite cute!

Donna: Oooh, take notes! Maybe we can use those notes to tell our cabana boy what to whip up for us.

Lindsay: Reminds me I should do some laundry tomorrow!

Lauren: Let us know if it works out for you!

Liz: Sounds like a fun time despite the gravel road!

We've nixed the river tubing idea, it's only getting up to 74 degrees water temperature, my sister in law is sick and Elim is sick so it's a no go. Today we went and had pizza for lunch and checked out the town. It's pretty cool and reminds me a lot of Germany which was their goal so mission accomplished. Kinda neat! Elim is still sick, drool is pouring out of his mouth and he's got little sores in the back of his throat so we're thinking some sort of viral thing like hand foot mouth or something. Poor guy is miserable and also puts a crimp in our visiting plans while in Atlanta. Hopefully he starts feeling better soon.

liz loschinskey - Aug 19, 2012 2:35 am (#164 Total: 291)

I love my kids!

Ugh...my neice just had handfootmouth and that was one of tbe signs.....little ulcer looking things in her throat mouth, fever, blisters on her feet and wrists/hands, miserable screaming, not sleeping, not eating/drinking....she didnt go to the bathroom 1or2 for over 24hours. My sil took her to childrens. They gave her a pain med let it kick in and pumped her wigh popsicles at tbe hospital. She got to go home after she went potty.

Sorry Stacy.

Also sorry for spelling errors while on my phone!!

Donna S - Aug 19, 2012 2:37 am (#165 Total: 291)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Stacy - Ugh. Poor baby. Some kids are just susceptible. Grace gets EVERYTHING like that. The boys almost never have strep or the like.

Liz - Besides pushing a stroller through gravel, sounds like a really fun place.

Lauren - I'm tellin ya, baby powder is awesome for the sand, but we were only told the secret three years ago. Give Makaela a few weeks. She will sort it out. And some of the best professional players in baseball are coming from Hawaii. It's a trend these days. One of my fav players is Hawaiian...he just got traded from the A's to Washington. Awesome dude...great dad...so giving, great catcher.

Lindsay - So hear ya on the laundry. I have at least four loads to get through tomorrow.

Wine tasting was beautiful. Such a perfect "special day". I know that I am so blessed in my in-laws. Came home with a case +1 of wine. Seriously. But sun + wine = sleepy girl.

KHolley - Aug 19, 2012 4:41 am (#166 Total: 291)

One more pop by! Just met Howie from Backstreet! Pretty sure my life is so close to complete, just need a New Kid! It will have to wait until next time!!!!

Howie

Akeelah's Mommy - Aug 19, 2012 7:16 am (#167 Total: 291)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Stacy- Oy! Poor guy, he just catches everything. Hope he's feeling better soon.

Donna- Who knew? All I know is the Victorino dude. Maybe the whole year round summer thing helps... Wine tasting sounds wonderful! I just might have me a small glass tomorrow.

Katie- You are just meetin' all the boys! What fun!

Seriously, only when you leave your car windows rolled down does it rain... off to close 'em.

lvazquez - Aug 19, 2012 1:25 pm (#168 Total: 291)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Katie - That's so COOL!

Stacy - Neat, cabin getaway:) Sorry E is sick.

Donna - Yum, wine tasting:)

Lauren - Hope you are able to get some zzz's while she sleeps. Any more chances of them napping at the same time?

Liz - Arts and crafts in the woods = fun. Sorry no decent path though for stroller. You go muscles!

Donna S - Aug 19, 2012 8:44 pm (#169 Total: 291)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Katie - I'm just sitting here grinning.

Lauren - Yep, at one point the A's had two Hawaiians on their roster. Cheers!

Stacy - How is Master Elim feeling today?

Feeling pretty pathetic today. I have quite literally started crying twice already today at the thought of Ryley starting middle school tomorrow. He is so ready. I'm the one freaking out and having the panic attack. I am beyond relieved he will be carpooling with an 8th grader who happens to be very involved and very well liked at this school. But my baby is going to be around some very big, scary kids. AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

stacyat - Aug 19, 2012 9:24 pm (#170 Total: 291)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Katie: So totally jealous!!

Lauren: Haha, always!! My dad went to wash my car for me before my trip and noticed shortly after he started my sunroof was tilted open. Oops! Thankfully no water got in.

Donna: Awww!! Big hugs but kinda lol, I know I'll be there one day.

Elim is doing, eh. He was up all night last night, starting two hours after his last dose of meds and I couldn't give him anything for another two hours. Almost got sent to the ER because of how much he's hurting, lack of pee and fever. But instead after talking to the doctor the nurse has us giving him magic mouthwash and dropped the times between meds by an hour which will keep him fully dosed on motrin every 6 which I think is what keeps the pain best under control for him. Gotta call the pedi tomorrow to see if they want him seen at urgent care. Hopefully he's better tonight and tomorrow though.

Angel Love - Aug 19, 2012 10:54 pm (#171 Total: 291)

Stacy~ Poor little guy.....I hope that all is better for him soon. A sick kiddo far from home stinks no matter which way you look at it.

Donna~ I'd be terrified to send my baby to middle school too. I think we should be able to go with them....at least the first year there!

Liz~ Sounds like a fun little event. Bummer on the space, but at least it was something different to do.

Katie~ Too fun!!!! Have you been stalking all of those boys???

I can't remember everything.....I had to catch up on a million posts. Okay---maybe not a million, but you know......

You know how little kids will start school and are super excited for about 3 days and then they ask if they have to go back??? Well, that's what I'm wondering today.....do I have to go back tomorrow?? Man I miss our 4-day week right about now!

liz loschinskey - Aug 20, 2012 12:49 am (#172 Total: 291)

I love my kids!

Stacy, give it 7-10 days to run its course. keep him hydrated! Hugs to Elim.

Donna, I'm sorry. It's ok to be doing what your doing. It's okay.

Tracy, you and me both on longer weeks. M's been working 12a-12p, sometimes with 4 hours added to that to get money, with minimal sleep, so he's miserable and I've got MissT glued to my hip.

Katie, safe travels home!

I too, have found myself in tears today a few times. I'll blog later. I'm just sad(pms, I think). Back to work tomorrow. YaY!

bbl....

Go Steelers!

Akeelah's Mommy - Aug 20, 2012 2:53 am (#175 Total: 291)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Lol! That's too funny.

Liz- I'm addicted to watching the Guardian on Netflix, and it's set in Pittsburgh, think of you and Erin when I watch and... and when I'm not day dreaming about the hot main character!

Stacy- Germ free healthy hugs to lil' Elim! Poor guy and momma!

Donna- Thought of you today... asked for wine stuff for my bday (yes it's my bday, shhhh I'm old) I'm so having a mini glass tonight!

So old, that's all my noggin' retained.

Thankfully though Makaela is still on a 48 hour cycle, she knows night time is sleep time no matter what. I feel like she sleeps so much better so much faster than Micah ever did! I know I'm about to jinx myself, but I feel so much less tired with her and Micah than I did with just him. Watch, I'll sleep 2hrs tonight...

stacyat - Aug 20, 2012 3:05 am (#176 Total: 291)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Tracy: Are you back to five day weeks again? Ugh on having to go back already, it seems like summer just started! HA! I'm well versed in y'all!

Liz: We were definitely struggling with hydration today. He only had one big wet dipe and two small wet dipes all of today. I force fed him 2 oz of water and kept offering him his sippy and a bottle of water all day but I don't think he ate much. Hoping magic mouth wash will help with that tomorrow. If not I've got a hospital all scoped out. Big hugs to you!

Lauren: WOOHOO!!! Maybe you're just kinda used to the lack of sleep so it's not as hard?

Officially the vacation from heck today! My SIL is sick, nephew has a bad booty rash, Elim is sick and more miserable than I've ever seen him and my dad is on his way to the ER to reattach his big toenail. Fun fun!

liz loschinskey - Aug 20, 2012 3:24 am (#177 Total: 291)

I love my kids!

What the hillbilly is magic mouth wash? The thought of your dads toe repulsed me and turned my stomach!

Lauren, I think of you nearly daily. Just because. Also hawaii5-0, a loowow(sp) on vacation and one of tori's bikini's has a grass skirt and I make her do hula dancing.

<3

Arnara - Aug 20, 2012 4:05 am (#178 Total: 291)

Mmmm wine degustation how nice ....

Tracy: ugh Hope school days improve... How nice of your mom, Lucky you

Akeelah's Mommy - Aug 20, 2012 4:38 pm (#179 Total: 291)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Baby Easton evicted today... we're all wishing you and him well Leigh!!

KHolley - Aug 20, 2012 5:39 pm (#180 Total: 291)

Stacy-They gave me magic mouthwash when I was so sick with strep. That stuff is great! I hope sweet little Elim feels better.

Lindsay-Thanks for the kind comment, I feel great!

Lorena-Congrats on your thesis being accepted!

Lauren-Keeping Leigh and Easton in my thoughts.

We are officially back to school today. My kids were so excited this morning!!!!!

Donna S - Aug 20, 2012 7:36 pm (#181 Total: 291)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Stacy - Glad Elim is feeling a little better. Poor baby. Hope you get some rest soon.

Lauren - Happy Birthday!! And you are definitely not old. If I'm not mistaken, I think I qualify as one of the, if not the, oldest around these parts. Sigh.....Hope you enjoyed your mini-glass! And kids are just different. Ryley is an awesome sleeper. Grace and Ethan have both always taken a huge amount of convincing.

Saying prayers for Easton and Leigh.

Tracy - They took away your 4-day week? That does take getting used to. Naps?

Liz - How's the job going?

Lorena - You go girl!! Congrats...that's awesome! I am so jealous of your weekend at home. We won't see another one of those until Thanksgiving.

First day of school....Ethan struggled this morning, even though he was the first one up. Whenever he has to get his tasks done on a schedule or someone else's timeline, or quickly, he goes completely sideways. So he was throwing stuff, yelling, growling, and hissing. He finally pulled it together when I told him it was his choice, but if he wasn't ready when we had to leave, he was going to the first day of school as he was (without shoes, hair sticking up, etc). I cried like a baby when Ryley left. And I'm completely anxious at how his day is going.

liz loschinskey - Aug 20, 2012 8:55 pm (#182 Total: 291)

I love my kids!

Lauren, I thought the guardian was that Whitney Houston movie...*singing*....AND I(EEEEEYYYYEEEEEE) Will always love you!!!!!

Lorena, congrats on the Thesis getting accepted!!!

Donna, job is fantastic! I'm meeting everyone and learning new things, it's great. Only problem...I work out there. I don't normally make eye contact with people, I go in and workout. Now I have all sorts of people saying hi and waving and nodding(and interupting said workouts to ask questions) Blah. I still love it.

I can't wait to see yinz and a couple months.

bbl....
