Weight Gain
Noah20 - 06:34am Jun 19, 2010 EST
I have a 26.4 weeker who came home on his actual due date weighing 5lbs 5 oz. He is now 3.4 weeks old and weighs about 6lbs 10 oz. This weight gain seems small to me. Can anyone shed any light on preemie weight gain? What should I expect? He's on a 27 calorie breastmilk/formula mix so I'm even more perplexed as to why he's not gaining more quickly. Any help would be appreciated. We're headed to the pediatrician for his second visit this coming Thurs. Thanks!!!
