bottle fighting
saraht - 03:11pm May 5, 2012 EST
my daughter was born at 37 wk 6 days at 5 pounds 10 oz. She would not latch so i begun to pump and bottle feed. After using all different bottles she would use the milk would just pour out of the side of she mouth while not want to drink. After going to her first visit and finding out she is in the 5th percent the doctor suggested adding formula to the breast milk. Still continued to not want to drink while having the milk spill out the side of her moth. At this time we have boughten every kind of bottle to see if that would make a difference. We also got her tongue clipped (tongue tied genetic on her dads side) yet no improvement. I have asked every doctor that we would see and get no where. Finally at 6 months we got a referrell to a gi and got the eating test. Shows some milk goes in her wind pipe but she corrects it and gets it out. She still coughes occasionaly while drinking her bottle. She is eating baby food took her a month but she seems to like it but we are still struggling with her bottle. She eats about 10 to 15 oz. Now at 7 month and weighing in at 15 pounds. also we have switched formula.
