Hi, my name is courtney. I have 5 wonderfull kids. 1 super special baby boy.Ethan was born with a rare heart defect DORV We did not know till he was 3days old they were getting ready to circumsize him and thought they heard a murmor the doctors told me not to worry and that it was common. Few hours later they rush in and tell me they have to transport him to Baptist nicu in oklahoma city i had no idiea why and it took nearly 3 hours for me to get any answers i was in total shock to find out . Ethan had his first open heart surg when he was 4 mnths old at st Francis hospital for children where we almost lost him due to comp we spent 26 days in picu and 20 was in critical care on life sup. He is now 22 mnths old and on his second open heart surg at St Francis we have been here 5 days now and he is doing ok we are still in critical care but today we were able to de cath and take the vent tubes out today
