Paolo gone but never forgotten!!

Hello my name is Carmela.
 I am here to share my story of our ANGEL Paolo.
My family was blessed with 3 handsome boys. In 2012 we found out that we would be blessed with one more little boy into our family!! 4 boys to complete our family!
Although unexpected he was a blessing all the same!!
My pregnancy was normal other then it being my fourth c-section.
I was being monitored for this and all was well!
On June 4th 2012. Paolo was born! 6lbs and 7 ozs. and 19 1/2 inches long!!
He was taken to the NICU for some fluid in his lungs, but by the next day was breathing unassisted.
The days that followed would be the ones that would be the most trying for him and our family!
He was perfect in every way!! He had more hair then most grown adults.
On the second night of his life when they went to feed him they noticed that he had a silent seizure and sent him for additional tests.
In the days following he had several tests that lead to his diagnosis of lissencyphaly. A rare brain disorder that at minimum would leave him to live a severely disabled life.
We were devastated by the news, but loved our son all the same.
The doctors told us that the next few days would tell us how severe it was, and if he would thrive.
By the fifth day of his life he was on life support because he could not sustain breathing nor eating from a feeding tube.
Our angel Paolo passed away and became an angel on June 13th, 2012.
 Not a day goes by right now that I do not cry for him or wonder why this happened to him and to us!!!!!

My only comfort is that he is not suffering and that he is free from pain!! I do believe that he is in a better place, and that we will be together again one day!!!
I tell my other three sons that they have a little brother that is an ANGEL and he is always watching over them to protect them!!!
