Welcome to Share. Thank you for sharing your story with us. I'm so sorry for the loss of your baby boys. You certainly are one strong lady and the love for all of your children is evident in your desire to keep trying. I'm so happy to hear that your 34-weeker is a healthy young woman. You must be so proud! Give her a big THANK YOU for us for her service. I have a 34-weeker also and he continues to amaze me each and every day.
Thinking of you,
Lindsay

Thanks for your story. I just had a 30 weeker myself, so I love hearing about healthy well-adjusted adult NICU grads now.
Isn't it amazing how much different it was "back then". I was born in 1984, at 34 wks also. I was in the NICU for three or four weeks, my cousin had a baby this year at 34 weeks and the child wasn't in there for more than a weekend! It made me smile to hear about you having to dress her in doll clothes. My mom had to make all mine for three months after I was born...
I am so sorry to hear about your little one's who did not make it. You were very brave to stay strong and not fall apart when your girl was in the NICU!
Congratulations on your daughter's graduation. God bless her for her service in the army as well!

Wow, thank u for giving me hope. My little girl was born on August 23, 2011, and she's presently in the NICU. Everyone keeps telling me that girls do so much better than boys, but it is still a difficult situation no matter what.

I too am the parent of a 34 week preemie boy born August 15, 2011. He weighed 5 lb 9 oz at birth and has a birth defect of the lymphatic system. He is currently in the nicu undergoing treatment to shrink the cysts on his neck. They are pressing on his airway causing obstruction when he is not intubated ( he has a breathing tube in now to protect his airway) Even though he has all these obsticles to overcome he amazes and surprises me every day...his story is a long one...and when I get a chance I will post it for you all to read.
