A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

So is that what a lady has got to do to get Jac in the Cafe?! Get knocked up?! Sheesh woman, wish you would have told me sooner! Miss you!! How are you... how are the kids... who are what like teenagers by now?!

Exhaaauuuuussstteeeed... but great day, children's museum was a hit, fab appointment, totally heart our MFM and am going to ground all flights so he can't leave. I'll blog about it when my eye lids aren't falling down.

KHolley - Feb 8, 2012 12:52 pm (#66 Total: 319)

Jac-That's what I said, only me!!!! I did get a nice accident insurance payment!

Lauren-Maybe he will have a change of plans, like no planes in Hawaii that work!

Stacy-I hope you feel better.

Alex's first karate tournament is in two weeks, we are gearing up for tournament season, I mean, Alex has a National Title to defend!!!!!

Donna S - Feb 8, 2012 4:31 pm (#67 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Katie - Only you, girlfriend. lol

Lauren - Glad everything went well. Was thinking about you!!

Jac - Saw that on FB. I grew up in the Bay Area. We're A's fans, but I have been to TONS of Giants games. Go Mickey!!! Ryley is an Angel this year (well, he's an angel every year - heeheehee).

Spoke at our DMV this morning for their kick-off. You'd think after all these events, I wouldn't still get so nervous. My legs were totally shaking and I didn't have a podium to hide behind!

Madisons mom - Feb 8, 2012 5:46 pm (#68 Total: 319)

proud to be the mom of this little fighter

Hey Jac!!! Welcome back!!

Glad the appointment went well Lauren..was thinking of you.

I'm a total hand talker...I'm all over the place.

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 8, 2012 11:38 pm (#69 Total: 319)

Katie- Alex is so cool. I would hate to run into her in a dark alley.

Donna- Your DMV gets involved?!?! Kudos to them!!

Jessica- What? You? Italian.. never would have guessed it...

Brrrrr it is "cold" today!! Windy and in the 60s.. (ok maybe in the sun it's like 71). Brrrr!!!

lol Lauren...never could tell huh? lol....ps so many spelling mistakes looking at that...thats what I get using my phone to check in on Share

Just read our new heading by Dr. Burns....(aka Dr. Hottie) really nicely put. Perfectly said!!!

Angel Love - Feb 8, 2012 11:44 pm (#71 Total: 319)

Jac~ We're doing well. It's a huge long story with all the drama in life since we last talked, but it all settles down okay for now... Yes, I'm still taking classes. I graduated in July with my Master's and I'm working on my Specialist now. I will be finished in December. Peach Co. is right outside of Atlanta so about 2 hours away.

Donna~ Podiums are nice, but due to my job I'm a "walker" and forget to stay near the microphone. I'm sure you did great anyway!!

Katie~ I like the schedule better than I did earlier in the year, but I still feel like I don't get to spend a lot of time with Ansley during the week. I guess that's partly my fault because of my grad classes. One day a week makes a difference.....

Lindsay~ Bummer on the threat of cutting your position. They're going to have to cut positions here again and we're already operating bare bones, so everyone is afraid to do anything "wrong" for fear we'll get the ax!!

Lauren~ Good grief!!! You sure coulda gotten preggo sooner to bring back old friends!!!

Funny thing happened today---- My sister usually drops the kids off at church on Wed. night and saves me a trip into town. Tonight, I needed to take them so she could do something else, and on my way past my own house, there was a man changing a tire in my driveway. (No big deal because I live on a busy hwy. and it's much safer that way.) When I came home, there were 2 men in my driveway!! Both were pretty embarrassed when I turned in, but after many apologies, they changed the tire and headed on. 2 men!! Wish it was that simple!!

LOL! And did ya get their digits?!?!?!

KHolley - Feb 9, 2012 1:08 am (#73 Total: 319)

Tracy-Were they good looking? Where are the pictures?!!!!

Jessica-When you get down here, you better make some Italian food!

Is it bad to say that I am excited that the hubs is going hunting all day Saturday?!!! I need me some nap time with the kiddos!

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 9, 2012 5:45 am (#74 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

I don't think so. Vacation days from hubbys are nice here and there.

Anyone have any fun Valentine's plans? Besides of course celebrating Elim's birthday!

esgf - Feb 9, 2012 3:47 pm (#75 Total: 319)

Abigail's Mom (29 weeks, 3/21/05)

Lauren-Glad the appt went so well. When is he supposed to leave? Did you get to meet the new one?

Liz- I hope the appt went well today. I remember the day Abigail graduated from the NICU dev clinic. They gave her an angel teddy bear from MOD. I took a pic. One of my favorite days. She was just over two and still weighed 19lbs. At almost 7, we're still at 40. Seems like some kids just don't like to gain weight no matter what. It is so frustrating (I thought). Good luck.

Donna- Glad the speech went well.

I hope everyone's kids are feeling better. DH stayed home sick today. I have had a series of bad events but I feel like they are coming to an end. The week is starting to look up and always good to be back in the cafe. Plus a Duke victory over UNC always makes the day go better. Have a great day ladies....

esgf - Feb 9, 2012 4:05 pm (#76 Total: 319)

Abigail's Mom (29 weeks, 3/21/05)

I have no Valentine's ideas. Anyone have any good ones? Abigail has decided somehow that she gets to be part of whatever it is...?

Donna S - Feb 9, 2012 4:14 pm (#77 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Tracy - I never would have figured you for a "walker". lol. I use my hands a lot if I don't have something to hold on. Yesterday, I put them behind my back which I hate doing. Too funny on the 2 men in your driveway.

Lauren - Amen on the hubby vacation days every once in awhile. No fun Valentine's plans here. Grace has dance until six, it's a school night, etc. We'll probably just have a nice dinner at home. Or maybe I can convince Michael to bring sushi home....

Katie - Enjoy that nap time. And go Alex!!!!!

Lindsay - Fingers crossed for your job. I won't pull my soapbox out again, and I know I'm not alone here when I get angry over all the school cuts. These kids are our future so why do they always get the shortest end? Grrrrrrr....

Ellen - I think some kids just don't gain weight quickly. My 11 year old barely weighs 65. My 10 year old is holding steady at 61, and my almost-8-year-old is at 45 lbs. Hope DH feels better quickly. And my kids think they have to be part of our Valentine's plans as well.

Big M4B kick-off today. How lucky am I - we get to go to the Salk Institute every year. Looking forward to being re-energized again.

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 9, 2012 6:13 pm (#78 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Liz- My full termer has been 21-22lbs for almost a year now... go figure! I hope today goes well!

Ellen- Hugs, seems like things have been uber busy for ya. I haven't met her yet... hopefully in the next two weeks... next appointment Feb 27th with our MFM.

Donna- What's the Salk Institute?

Ok this was just so cute. I got up before Micah this morning and I just heard him humming to himself and walking into the living room... love it when they wake up happy!! He's takin' to singing Hakuna Matata a lot. It's a good reminder to hear your GULP almost 2 year old continually tell you, "It means no worries...."

Donna S - Feb 9, 2012 10:24 pm (#79 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Lauren - Salk Institute (after Jonas Salk - developer of the polio vaccine) is a research institute in La Jolla. It overlooks the ocean near UCSD. They still have studies there funded by the MOD. As the speaker said today, they like to consider it a "second home for the March of Dimes." Can he really be almost 2? Nuh uh!!!

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 9, 2012 10:33 pm (#80 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Oooooooh! Learn something new every day!

Ok, I know I'm biased, but dude... Micah can count to 10! I think he's ready for college.

Donna S - Feb 9, 2012 10:43 pm (#81 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

LOL - He's TOTALLY ready!! Wow....count to ten at less than 2 years old? That's awesome. Go Micah!!!

I'm on book overload. I have a stack of about 8 real books next to my nightstand, about 8 more on my Kindle, and 19 on my Amazon wish list. AAAAHHHH!!! Am I a bad wife/mom/homemaker/volunteer if I sincerely wish I could just sit around and read all day every day?

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 9, 2012 10:50 pm (#82 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

I don't think so! I miss reading! I haven't finished a book for pleasure, that wasn't mind numbing Patterson trash in years!

Donna S - Feb 9, 2012 10:55 pm (#83 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

I'm pretty sure Ethan was four or five when I started reading anything but brainless trashy novels.

Angel Love - Feb 9, 2012 11:02 pm (#84 Total: 319)

Um.....negative on the phone numbers!!! If I had taken pics you'd understand why!!!

Lauren~ Too funny.....Hakuna Matata!!!

Donna~ I would love to read more for pleasure, but honestly, right now there's just too much work or class related junk to read. My brain can't function for more!

Ellen~ Sorry things haven't been going so great, but I hope that it's on the uphill climb now.

Mentally exhausted right now!

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Ooooooh Jessica! I love this game!! Super fun!!

Yeah, I don't think one will get read for at least another few years... I do what the Whole Brain Child or something like from an author I really like in child development... it's really good so far (ya know.. the paragraph every other day I get to read).. and there are a few illustrations!

Waiting on office call for my appt with the new doc... soo nervous! It feels like a blind date.

KHolley - Feb 10, 2012 1:39 am (#89 Total: 319)

Jess-Love our Share family to the moon and back?? Which I totally do and you owe me dinner for that!!!!

Lauren-Seriouly...two?!!! He is so cute!

Donna-I love reading, I love when the kids have sports so that I can bring my phone and read!

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 10, 2012 1:42 am (#90 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Lol! Bring my phone and read... who would have ever thought?!?!

Donna S - Feb 10, 2012 2:10 am (#91 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Hahahaha - Right there with ya Katie!!! One of the bonuses of being a SAHM with all mine in school all day is that I (usually) get a quiet lunch by myself which equals time to read!!! And then while my family is watching (lame) tv (aka Monster Bug Wars, How it's Built, Build it destroy it build it, Dirty Jobs, Myth Busters, Great Tank Battles, etc etc etc) I read. And I read before I go to sleep. And I read while I'm sitting in the pick-up line at school. See why I have a Lit degree?

Katie - That's perfect!!

Lauren - a LOT of stuff gets put on hold while the kiddos are so young. I didn't do much but survive when Ry, G and E-man were toddlers. It was all I could do to shower and get dressed every day much less anything else. I didn't re-join the gym til Ethan was almost four. It makes it so much easier that all my kids love to read so sometimes we just turn everything off and have reading time. You'll get there!

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 10, 2012 2:15 am (#92 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Let's hope so, because the plot line of "Go Dog Go" by Dr. Seuss.. leaves a lot to be desired... don't get me wrong... great book... love that Micah loves to read it 12 times a day but really...

lvazquez - Feb 10, 2012 3:43 am (#93 Total: 319)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Donna: Ah, . . . La Jolla. I can smell the fresh sea air right now. I miss that darn place. We go to the Scripps Aquarium quite a bit when we go. Not sure what our plans are right now for Spring Break. Come on Spring Break! I'll settle for President's Day weekend though comin' around the corner. Ye-haw! Wishing you a cooler stocked with snacks and drinks for all of those kiddo sporting events! You go Donna!

Katie: I love those short-term disability checks! Good thing you signed up:) Every little bit helps. Hope you're healing well.

Lauren: So cute that he's counting and reading his fav book:) Hope you weren't waiting around too much longer for that call from your new OB. Totally like a blind date. One puts a lot of trust in this person. Hope it's a good fit for ya.

Jessica: I'm loving your game, but for now, I'm too tired to play. I will try again tomorrow:)

Tracy: I hope you don't have to be transferred again. It blows! This year because I was a new hire, I don't even get that option.

It's official. I won't have a position next year. Now I don't feel so guilty in taking the leave to help my kiddo. I'm feeling really bad for the students who now have to start over with their FL credit though. They have to have two years of the same FL to go to college:( Urgh. I get to start this lovely search all over again. I guess this wasn't the year to go back to work afterall. Upside, tomorrow is my LAST day of work and I was able to snag a speech therapy appt. for Mr. T on a cancellation! Score! It's on Valentine's Day! Yay, I got my Valentine's gift: new pillows to sleep on and some speech therapy:)

liz loschinskey - Feb 10, 2012 1:51 pm (#94 Total: 319)

I love my kids!

Linsday, is that a good thing or bad thing...no job?
Donna, You ever read any Tom Robbins? I literally LOL.
Lauren, you sound like me, except it's ABC by Dr. Suess.
Tracy, 2 hotties in your driveway? Ooohlala.
Lauren, how's your babybelly?

All sorts of things on this end. Tori's eval went good. We brought on an OT, and I demanded to keep her Developmentalist. She did not qualify for either and they both said they will write up what the have to and get it sent off to the state. This is a good thing. She doesn't qualify. It showed how much Miss Tanya loves Tori as much as T loves her. We meet again next week to write up her IFSP.
Started school last night. I couldn't tell if I was more excited to get out of the house or start school. Needless to say, after class I felt like a genuis. Suprisingly, I remembered alot more than I thought. And I was youngest in the class so I didn't get all weirded out by the youngin's. We leave for Harrisburg in approx 4 hours. NOTHING is packed, and the dog sitter failed to mention she has to work today and no one will be home when we drop the dog off. -mumbling profanities-

Gotta scram, have a good weekend ladies!
